Mariela wasn’t comfortable with Lauryn acting spoiled with her.
She looked at Lennon
She wanted his opinion.
Lennon also turned to her, inquiring, “Marie, would you be willing to teach her?”
He put the question to her.
Mariela thought for a moment
Lauryn was Lennon’s sister.
Besides, Lauryn would be her sister–in–law.
Lauryn’s initial attitude towards her was less than favorable.
However, Lauryn had since offered an apology.
Now, she was friendly.
Mariela was kind and didn’t suspect girls of bad intentions.
She didn’t think Lauryn had ill will, so she agreed.

“Okay,” Mariela said to Lauryn, “I can teach you basics today to get a feel for riding. Later, Lennon can sign you up for a proper riding class for systematic leaming,”
“Really?” Lauryn smiled. Thank you, Marie.”
Her constant use of “Marie” seemed very sweet.
Mariela felt slightly embarrassed, wondering if she had overthought things.
Lauryn seemed to have no bad intentions.
Mariela smiled politely, “You’re welcome.”
Lauryn looked at Mariela.

Lauryn realized that she would never be able to treat Mariela as her sister–in–law.
Deep down, she didn’t want to accept Mariela as Lennon’s wife.
She couldn’t accept Lennon being with another woman.
Lennon said gently, “Thank you, Marie.”
When he looked at Lauryn, his warm gaze turned cold, back to his usual demeanor.
Lennon spoke to Lauryn in a warm, brotherly manner, “Make sure you learn well from Marie, listen to her instructions, follow what she tells you, and be cautious”
“I know, Lenny, Lauryn responded with a bright smile, her eyes twinkling, giving the impression of being obedient.
“Come with me,” Mariela said, turning with the horse.
Lauryn followed.
“Get on the horse first,” Mariela instructed patiently. “Mount from the left, step into the stirrup with your left foot, and swing your right leg
over to sit down.”
Mariela helped Lauryn mount. “Be careful.”
Though Lauryn wasn’t in riding gear, her sportswear was suitable for horseback riding.
After Lauryn mounted the horse, Mariela gently led the horse.
Snowphie, guided by Mariela, moved slowly and calmly.
“Are you okay?” Mariela asked, looking up at Lauryn
