Chapter 4
While I fought to clear my same, they paraded their happiness, and the exhaustion of comitating werewet and boman tr combined to leave me physically and mentally banken.
They enjoyed the night view in talver Mews Harlour, and I received endless threats, anonymous letters and deliveries EJDE me to die, including animal carcasses thrown at my door, a warning of some sort and also an attack in my werewet zAline.
Tinally, I found a lead with a network tech werewolf, Casplan.
seemed nervous, stuttering. “… I believe you aren’t that bad as they say on the internet. His wary demeanor reminded me of an injured animal, and I felt a strange warmth.
I didn’t expect a stranger in believe in me. I looked at him gratefully full of honesty. Thank you.”
As I turned to leave, I faintly heard a quiet voice, “We’ll meet again”
But I was far too preoccupied to think about this. I copied the data and then posted it on Wolfgram. The drive contained complete record of Riley’s phone activity, including proof of her maliciously editing the video and her orchestration of the online smear campaign.
The video went viral, and public opinion began to change. The person who posted the original video was also revealed to Riley herself. She was arrested by the Black Rock Pack’s law enforcement for malicious editing.
Liam found me at my new apartment. He knocked, his expression as fake as ever. “Go to the police station. Tell them you forgive her.” He spoke to me as if he were an Alpha commanding a subordinate.
“Riley’s young. You’ll ruin her life! I promise. Once Riley’s released, we’ll bind our blood oath.” He offered his favor, as if he were doing me a favor. His attitude was infuriating
I’d not slept for days. I was about to tell him that I would never bind a blood oath with him, when I fainted.
I was exhausted, and completely broke dowIL
When I woke up at the hospital, Liam and Riley were sitting by my bed, Riley wearing a fake smile. She was all sweetness. “Thank you, Seraphina, for getting me out so quickly.” She was as cunning as a fox, with not even a hint of remorse.
I stared blankly at Liam, whose gaze avoided mine. I knew that he and Riley had made a deal. They wanted to control me again.
I struggled to get up, suddenly noticed the red mark on my thumb – a blood mark he had forcibly pressed onto me while I was unconscious, attempting to trap me with the blood oath.
My hands began to tremble. The anger of my wolf raged inside me.
“Okay, tomorrow’s the blood oath ceremony. You rest well.” He practically ran out with Riley, like two conspirators eager to control my life.
I slammed my fist into the bed frame, feeling an unyielding hatred. I would not let them get away with this. My wolf was fully awake, and I would make them pay.
The next day. I followed Liam’s orders. I was a puppet, calmly observing everything, waiting for the right time to strike. When the car stopped at the entrance of the hall, he told me to walk in by myself. He wanted to humiliate me, make me enter

the area alone, like a rejected beast.
I walked in step by step with my long dress flowing behind me, what was meant to be my blood oath had been turned into a celebration of her birthday.
I didn’t even care. I walked to the hall with my head held high.
The further we walked, the darker Liam’s face became. He grabbed my arm, and whispered, “I sent you a message, saying the blood oath ceremony had been postponed.” His voice was full of anger, annoyed at the fact that he couldn’t control me
I never received the postponement message. It was a message telling me not to be late, and it was probably Riley’s doing, Hoping to make me look like a fool.
Riley was dressed like an angel today, wearing a smug smile, “Seraphina, you do realize you shouldn’t force my brother Liam to get married so quickly. She couldn’t wait to see me embarrassed.
The crowd began to whisper, “She is so desperate for the power.” “A shewolf like her is not even worth a second look” They were like a pack of hyenas, eager to watch me be torn to shreds.
He dragged me aside. “Enough. Today is an important day for Riley. Why do you have to be so childish? Can’t you just stop?“ He pulled a ring out of his pocket, and tried to jam it on my finger, as if I were nothing but a thing, “Satisfied now?”
From start to finish, he acted like a reasonable man tolerating his wife’s tantrums.
I grabbed the ring and threw it into the sewer. I wanted nothing to do with him, or anything that connected us to the blood oath.
What I said next stunned everyone.
