Chapter 5
“She’s not my problem anymore. It has nothing to do with me now.” My voice was cold and clear, like a blade slicing through the air.
A flicker of anger flashed across his face, which he quickly masked, hiding his fury behind a thin veneer of concern.
“Alright, Seraphina, don’t make a scene.” He always acted like this, looking down on me as if I were a child having a tantrum in front of others, but he was the one who’d driven me to this point, step by agonizing step.
day, I would shatter his carefully crafted facade.
“Why did you choose to bind with me through a Blood Oath, huh?” My question was laced with sarcasm, deliberately designed to expose him completely, stripping away every last pretense.
He stumbled for a moment, looking confused, but then quickly recovered his sweet facade. “Because I love you, of course.”
“You’re lying! It’s because I loved you enough to tolerate your silent treatment, your disgusting relationship with your so–called sister, the filth and depravity that festers in your werewolf blood My voice was pure rage, I wanted everyone to see their true, disgusting faces.
The lively crowd instantly fell silent. Eyes darted back and forth between the three of us. Some even looked at me with a flicker of sympathy, having finally begun to see through Liam’s charade.
A flicker of pante crossed his eyes. He avoided my gaze, a hint of desperation creeping into his voice. “Seraphina, I can explain, please, just come back with me..” He was trying to control me, to drag me back into his cage.
I dodged his hand and scoffed. My werewolf instincts were fully ignited now. “Of course I have proof. Otherwise you, the Alpha of Black Rock Pack, would crush me like an ant.” I wasn’t afraid of him any longer, they needed to learn that even ants could bite.
Why should he have the right to trample over my love while pretending to be the “good guy“, all at my expense? No, I wouldn’t allow it. Even an ant can bring down an elephant.
The large screen, previously displaying Riley’s birthday photos, suddenly switched to a repeating loop of him and Riley kissing, exposing their disgusting secret to everyone.
Many people here didn’t know the truth about Riley. They would be disgusted, and that would be enough to destroy both Liam. and Riley, ripping away their masks of false piety for good.
My purpose accomplished. I turned and walked away, not looking back.
The man who had given me the evidence was already waiting for me, a hint of concern in his eyes.
I removed my veil and climbed onto his motorcycle, my wolf craving freedom and the thrill of the ride.
The only sounds on the road were the sound of the wind and the pounding of our hearts. My own heart was racing, like a wild beast being unleashed.
“Thank you, Caspian,” I said, my voice filled with gratitude. He’d given me the opportunity to fight back, to escape my cage.
After they left yesterday. I couldn’t swallow my anger and frustration. I wasn’t sure where my trust in him had come from, maybe it was because he had helped me before. I reached out to him again: Caspian, would you help me again? I’ll well.

A pause followed, then he responded quietly through our link, “Okay, I don’t want your money. His voice was gentle. like a ray of sunshine in the depths of winter.
We’d quickly put together a plan for revenge, which involved him hacking into the system at the banquet hall, replacing the images with those that Riley had sent me. Afterwards, he would be there to help me make my escape.
After so long without an adrenaline rush, this adventure set my heart racing. My wolf was roaring with excitement. I couldn’t wait to unleash my plans for revenge.
Once we reached the beach, I took off my helmet and looked at his motorcycle.
“I didn’t expect you to ride a bike. It’s a bit of a surprise.”
“Did you customize this yourself? It’s pretty cool”
Since I’d gotten together with Liam, I’d stopped riding my motorcycle after Riley intentionally destroyed it.
I had not been on it since. Perhaps it wasn’t motorcycles that he disliked, but everything about me.
He nodded. “Someone told me I should ride. Said that a burst of adrenaline could help you push away any unpleasant thoughts.” He looked at me gently, his gaze full of warmth.
I arched an eyebrow. That sounded awfully familiar, as if, somehow, we had crossed paths long before.
I was lost in thought. “Are you Wolfgram for help.
you L?” My i
instincts told me that the man before me was the person who had reached out to me on
The sea breeze tousled his long fringe, revealing his eyes, which sparkled like those of a wet puppy.
“Hey, you finally remember me?” He smiled shyly, his eyes full of hope.
I smiled back, my inner wolf feeling safe for the first time in a long while. “Of course I do. You were the first patient officially consulted with. I was terrified that my lack of experience wouldn’t be enough to help you.”
