Valerie had been taken to Gemellia Hospital. She had to spend the night there as the little ones had been a bit restless. A hormonal change and severe gastritis had been causing contractions. Valerie’s diet had wreaked havoc on her stomach–on one hand, spicy foods, and on the other, very sweet foods. That was what was happening to her, but it was just a matter of one or two days of observation before she could be discharged.
During the time alone in her room, Valerie used it to get lost in the memories of that lost love. It was clear that seeing and hearing the man from the previous day had made her uneasy. It was clear that the young man she had seen in the school office wasn’t Peter, but if it wasn’t him, then he was definitely connected to Ethan.
