Chapter 0884
Peter IS dead!” Leonardo snapped, desperation creeping into his voice.
“No, that’s not true… You’re unbelievable. You allied yourself with the man who caused your son so much. suffering–well, with his father, anyway. Because it was Alexia and Frank Levett Sr. who orchestrated his death.”
“Lies! If that had happened, I would have known…” Leonardo protested, but the weight of the truth was pressing down on him now.
“You’re an idiot, Leonardo. And to think I once admired you” Maximus said, his tone laced with disappointment.
Leonardo let out a short laugh. “I know what you’re doing. You’re trying to torture me.”
“No, I’m telling you this because I want to offer you a deal. Peter doesn’t know he needs this, but he does. Not yet, but one day, when his memories return, it might bring him a bit of peace.”
Leonardo narrowed his eyes. “What kind of deal?”
“Tell me who Peter’s real mother is and where she is. If you do, I can arrange for you to be transferred to another prison. I know very well that you’re having a rough time in here.”
“Peter’s mother is Martina–your mother,” Leonardo said flatly.
“You and I both know that’s a lie. Peter and I aren’t brothers. I’m not your son. You forced my mother to raise a child that wasn’t hers because you felt guilty–guilty for making her abort the baby girl she was carrying, the one who was yours.”
Leonardo smirked. “Don’t tell me Peter figured that out too?”
“He did. I could lie to you, but the truth is, no–he had years to piece it all together. The only loose end was his mother. He could never find out who she was. And I’m guessing we have you to thank for that.”
Leonardo held Maximus’s gaze. “I don’t see why you want to dig up ghosts from the past. Leave it alone. Move on, with your life.”
“You killed her, didn’t you?” Maximus said, slamming his Öst against the table.
“Hey! No violence in the visitation room!” a guard shouted
Leonardo just smirked arrogantly. “Maximus, you and I have nothing to talk about. So you’d best leave and never come back. I would never make a deal with an Evans. That bastard stole your mother’s love from me. And you, my dear Maximus, are the spitting image of that son of a bitch. That’s why I enjoyed screwing your wife. I enjoyed every time I raped her. And I enjoyed knowing that your beloved firstborn son wasn’t yours–he was mine,” Leonardo said, his voice dripping with mockery.
Maximus didn’t even flinch. “Even in that, you’re wrong,” he said calmly. “I spoke with Alexia. She told me. everything. Lucius–my Lucius–is my son. And you? You were the fool. She played you. Maybe you thought you. were hurting her. Maybe you did. You threatened her, controlled her. But she knew that when Lucius grew up, would destroy you. And in the end… it wasn’t Lucius. It was your own son–Peter Palmer.”
Leonardo’s smug grin vanished instantly. His face twisted in pure rage.
With a furious growl, he lunged at Maximus.
But Maximus was faster. He dodged just in time, and Leonardo crashed to the ground.

“Sir, I’m afraid we have to ask you to leave,” one of the officers said as they restrained Leonardo.
Leonardo struggled against their grip, blood dripping from his face as he shouted, “Listen to me, Maximus Evans! You will never know who Peter’s mother is! That much, I swear to you!”
Maximus took a deep breath, then let it out in a sigh. Frustration settled in his chest.
He knew Peter’s mother was important.
And he knew Leonardo was hiding something
Offering him a transfer wasn’t tempting enough–meaning whatever Leonardo was keeping secret was big
From Maximus’s perspective, the day had been a total waste of time.
But for Leonardo…
For Leonardo, it was confirmation.
Confirmation that Frank Levett had played a role in what happened to his son.
Maybe Maximus had left empty–handed.
But without realizing it, he had planted a seed in Leonardo’s mind.
And soon, Leonardo would start plotting.
Plotting revenge for what had been done to his own blood.
He had nothing left to lose.
And whether his plan succeeded or failed…
That would be his problem.
