Neil beamed as he spoke, “Miss Lena, we’re truly honored to be collaborating with you.”
Nancy mirrored his smile, replying, “Mr. Neil, the pleasure is mine. Working with Evergreen Global is indeed an honor.”
Neil shook his head slightly, remembering Judson’s instructions, then glanced at the audience below.
“Some of you might have heard that The NY Group had to let Mathew go recently. That’s because he tried to play favorites, even dismissing Miss Lena’s designs without a glance during the preliminary rounds. Luckily, I was there to see Miss Lena’s designs for myself, or else the top talent might have been completely overlooked.
Before I came here, I received a directive from our CEO. I have permission to unveil Miss Lena’s designs to all of
you.
I also want to stress that whether it’s NY or our headquarters at Evergreen Global, we welcome those with genuine talent. That’s the true value of this business summit.”
As he finished speaking, the stage lights dimmed.
Moments later, the ceiling lights illuminated.
Everyone looked up to see Nancy’s design: the Rose Crown. Those viewing it for the first time widened their eyes in amazement.
The lifelike jewels seemed to shimmer before them.
Beneath the display, there was Nancy’s guiding principle: “Freedom.”
The room fell silent, but as people regained their composure, the applause erupted, nearly deafening.
With a snap, the lights brightened again, yet the room maintained an eerie silence. Then, exclamations filled
the air.

“Absolutely breathtaking! This surpasses even the crown on the Queen’s head.”
“Who’s been saying Lena got here by pulling strings? It’s clear she earned her spot! I’ve got to team up with
her…”
All eyes returned to Nancy, now filled with admiration, devoid of earlier skepticism.
Nancy, under the spotlight, remained poised and calm, a graceful smile on her lips.
Soon, a waiter approached with a tray of champagne. Neil picked up a glass and handed it to Nancy, saying, “Miss Lena, as I started the event, it’s only fitting you conclude it. As per the CEO’s wishes.”
Nancy gave a slight nod, accepting the champagne and addressing the crowd once more.
“No matter the injustices we face, true talent speaks for itself. Here’s to us, to freedom, and to every tomorrow
that awaits.”
With that, Nancy drank the champagne in one go.
The crowd, feeling the surge of inspiration, responded, “Hear, hear!”
They raised their glasses, “To us, to freedom, to every tomorrow!”
An inexplicable sense of exhilaration spread through the room.
Meanwhile, in a shadowy corner, Lucy’s heart raced with excitement. It was all coming together, just as planned.
