At the entrance of the restroom.
“Lena’s in there fooling around with someonel” Susan whispered with a mixture of glee and anticipation as she pressed her ear against the door, straining to hear the faint but unmistakable sounds of a scandalous
encounter.
She could barely contain her excitement. If she caught Lena on camera in such a compromising situation, it would be the end of her career in the design world. Not only would Evergreen Global drop her like a hot potato, but no reputable company would want to work with her.
With this thought fueling her adrenaline, Susan boldly pushed open the door, and the paparazzi who had been lurking behind her charged in like a pack of wolves.
Click, click, click–the sound of camera shutters filled the air, sending a thrill through Susan. She taunted, “Lena, how could you do this? How could you fool around with men here–Lucy?!!”
Susan’s eyes widened in shock, her mind stumbling to process the scene before her. It wasn’t Lena entangled with someone, but Lucy, completely vulnerable and sobbing, her mouth gagged with a filthy rag. The air in the room was heavy with the scent of sex, and torn clothing was strewn across the floor.
Susan’s mind went blank. What just happened here?
The paparazzi stood frozen for a moment before recovering and snapping shots with renewed fervor. “Jackpot! This is the Allen family’s heiress! Imagine the ratings when this hits the news.”
“And look at that skin–like porcelain!” one commented, as if they were discussing a fine piece of art.
Lucy trembled violently, her words fragmented and desperate, “Don’t… don’t take pictures… Susan!”
Still in shock, Susan stammered, “Lucy, why are you here? Where’s Lena?”
Damn it, she thought, where did things go wrong? It was supposed to be Lena caught in the act today.
Baldrick and Lenard arrived just in time to hear Susan’s panicked exclamation, their expressions darkening.
Baldrick narrowed his eyes, ready to speak when a mocking voice cut through the tension, “Susan, why would you think the person fooling around was Lena? Could it be you set her up?”
Heads turned to see who had spoken. Even Baldrick looked up, his attention drawn by the voice.
Walking toward them was Neil, with a strikingly handsome man at his side, possessing an almost ethereal
charm. It was Michael.
Baldrick frowned slightly. What was Michael doing here?
Before Baldrick could gather his thoughts, Michael met his gaze, and their eyes locked in a silent battle of
wills.
Baldrick clenched his lips slightly. Why was Michael antagonistic toward him?
Before Baldrick could ponder further, Susan’s face lost all color, disbelief etched into her features. “Mr. Ferguson, I don’t understand what you’re implying.”
Why was Michael Ferguson here?
Michael finally broke the stare, a playful smile tugging at his lips. “Really? You don’t understand, or are you just pretending?”
Susan was speechless.
Lucy, upon seeing Michael enter, somehow found the strength to tear the rag from her mouth, her voice rising in a furious scream.
“You set those men on me! I won’t let you get away with this!”

The room buzzed with shock. Some recognized Michael’s identity. Could he have really targeted the Allen
heiress?
Michael, unfazed by the accusation, replied coolly, “You can say whatever you want, but I don’t know you. Now, who told you to mess with Miss Lucy?”
The men, eager to absolve themselves, quickly pointed fingers. “It was Lucy herself who asked us to. She even started stripping our clothes off.”
“Yeah, she was all too willing just a moment ago.”
The men’s words shattered Lucy’s composure. “You’re lying! You’re lying, all of you! I won’t let you get away with this!”
The men sneered, “It’s the truth, Miss Lucy. You can’t just deny it after the fact.”
“Shut up! Just shut up!” Lucy’s voice cracked as she screamed, on the verge of breaking down completely.
