Chapter 114 

Suddenly, she noticed Baldrick standing in the doorway. 

Lucy’s face turned pale as a ghost. She stammered, “Baldrick, it’s not what it looks like. It was Lena who set me up. She made them do this to me. You have to believe me.” 

“Well, what goes around comes around, doesn’t it?” Baldrick replied coolly. 

The situation was clear as day. Lucy and Susan had drugged Nancy, but Nancy had been rescued, leaving Lucy caught in the web she’d spun for herself. 

Lucy’s expression changed drastically. “What do you mean?” 

Baldrick’s face remained icy. “Miss Lucy, I suggest you discuss the upcoming storm with your family.” 

“No, Baldrick, you can’t do this to me. You know how I feel about you-” 

Before she could finish, Neil cut her off, “Miss Lucy, you need to leave immediately. I never expected you to pull a stunt like this at a business conference. You’ve disgraced everyone. The CEO of Evergreen Global has already decided to sever all ties with your family.” 

At almost the same time, a group of security guards began advancing towards Lucy. The men involved in the scandal were escorted out as well. 

The paparazzi, quick to catch the drift, quietly slipped away. 

Susan, seeing her chance, tried to make her exit. However, a towering figure blocked her path. 

Susan looked up to see Lenard, his smile not reaching his eyes. “Did I say you could leave?” 

Susan’s scalp prickled, her voice trembling, “W–what do you want?” 

“You dared to drug Nancy. We need to have a chat.” 

Before Susan could respond, Lenard grabbed her and hauled her away. 

Soon enough, only Baldrick, Michael, and Neil remained in the large room. 

Neil stepped forward to explain, “I noticed Miss Lena wasn’t feeling well on the second floor, so I called Mr. Buchanan. He took Miss Lena away, but since there were too many people involved, I sought Mr. Ferguson’s help.” 

Baldrick mused, “I didn’t expect Mr. Ferguson to be so helpful.” 

“Not quite,” Michael approached Baldrick, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “I only helped because Evergreen Global values Lena. Otherwise, I might not have bothered.” 

With that, Michael placed a hand on Baldrick’s shoulder, smirking, “But one thing’s clear–you aren’t as good–looking as Judson. If I were Lena, I wouldn’t choose you either.” 

Baldrick’s face darkened, while Michael turned away, chuckling as he left. 

Baldrick’s fists clenched and his expression turned icy as he dialed his assistant. “Dig up everything you can on Michael and Judson’s backgrounds,” he ordered. 

“Yes, sir,” came the quick response. 

Baldrick paused, considering something, then added, “And find out who the CEO of Evergreen Global is.” 

He was determined to uncover Judson’s true identity. 

The thought of Nancy, drugged and with Judson, only fueled Baldrick’s irritation. 

As he stepped outside, Lenard was entering. 

“Lenard, let’s go find Nancy.”

If Judson dared to lay a finger on Nancy, Baldrick wouldn’t let it slide. 

At the Sapphire Suites. 

As soon as they entered the room, Nancy clung to Judson, kissing him fervently and tugging at his clothes. 

Judson felt the heat of Nancy’s passion, his eyes darkening, his breath growing heavier. 

“Mm…” 

Nancy was dizzy from the kiss, reluctantly pulling away. 

*Judson, I feel awful… It’s too hot…” 

Judson gazed into Nancy’s unfocused eyes, her cheeks flushed, her lips swollen from his kisses. 

A wave of intense heat coursed through his body. He swept Nancy off her feet, cradling her gently. He kissed her forehead softly, “Do you want to feel better?”
