Chapter 141
As soon as Cyrus thought about Nancy tagging along with Baldrick to Ardenweald, his face turned as sour as a lemon. Without a second thought, he strode inside.
This time, Nancy had gone too far! Just because he loved her didn’t mean he could forgive her so easily.
Baldrick had rented out the place for the evening, and besides the crew for tonight’s fashion show, most of the attendees were from The Sandro Group and Lena’s Studio.
Cyrus scanned the room, noticing a bunch of people who were clearly drunk, with more than a few slumped over tables, completely out of it.
The sharp scent of alcohol hit him like a freight train.
Cyrus, visibly annoyed, furrowed his brow and scanned the room. Caleb also glanced around, but couldn’t recognize many faces either.
Before Cyrus and Caleb could finish their search, a security guard approached them. “Excuse me, gentlemen, who are you? Do you have an invitation…”
The rest of his sentence trailed off as Cyrus shot him a cold glare. “Where are Nancy and Lena?”
“L–Lena, the designer?” The guard seemed momentarily stunned, then blurted out, “She just left with some others, probably headed home.”
Nancy went home?
Cyrus frowned, turning sharply on his heel to leave.
Caleb, seeing this, quickly thanked the guard and followed after him.
The guard watched the two men, especially the stern–looking one with the intense gaze, until they were out of sight. “That was intense. Is he one of Lena’s admirers?”
Just as Cyrus was stepping out the door, Baldrick, having settled his employees upstairs, came down from the second floor. He caught sight of the two figures leaving and rubbed his eyes. Had he drunk too much? Because one of them looked an awful lot like Cyrus from behind!
Baldrick dismissed the thought with a chuckle. No way. Cyrus was probably back home comforting his
sweetheart.
After all, Hayley had just attempted a wrist–slitting stunt, terrified of being left by Cyrus.
Before Baldrick could finish his thoughts, his phone rang abruptly.
With a lazy attitude, he answered, “Hello?”
“Mr. Robertson, there’s a bit of a situation…”
The car door slammed shut.
Caleb reported to Cyrus, handing over his findings, “Mr. Gordon, the lady has been staying at Pinecrest Estates. It’s just a half–hour drive from there to Lena’s Studio, and she’s been using the name Lena while she’s here.”
Cyrus‘ eyes darkened with understanding. “No wonder we couldn’t trace Nancy’s whereabouts. She’s been living
under the name Lena.”
Caleb nodded, staying silent.
“And Baldrick?” Cyrus‘ eyes narrowed dangerously. “He doesn’t live around there, right?”
Understanding Cyrus‘ concern, Caleb quickly shook his head. “No, sir. There’s about an hour’s drive between The Sandro Group and Lena’s Studio. Mr. Robertson’s villa is quite close to The Sandro Group, about a
ten–minute walk.”

Chapter 14
Cyrus felt a weight lift from his shoulders, no longer surprised. This made sense.
This was the Nancy he knew. She wouldn’t let him near her, so how could she possibly let Baldrick get close?
A smile tugged at the corners of Cyrus‘ lips, his mood visibly improving. “Let’s drive”
He couldn’t wait to see Nancy.
The car came to a smooth stop, and the driver quickly stepped out.
Judson looked at Nancy, who stared blankly ahead, her eyes betraying her inebriation.
Honestly, she looked adorable in this dazed state, without her usual guarded and aloof demeanor, more like a harmless kitten.
Judson gently poked her cheek. “Nancy, we’re home.”
Nancy nodded vigorously. “Yep!”
