Chapter 155
Nancy raised an eyebrow lightly, “No way.”
Tomorrow night, she was definitely bringing Judson to the auction. Plus, there was something she absolutely had to bid on.
Hearing Nancy’s words, Judson immediately breathed a sigh of relief, a smile spreading across his face. “Nancy, with that reassurance, I feel like I could eat three more bowls of mac and cheese.”
“Don’t overeat, especially at night. It’s not good for you,” Nancy warned.
Judson quickly nodded obediently. “Alright, I won’t eat anymore then.”
Nancy nodded slightly in approval and then stood up. “Let’s get going,” she said.
Normally, Judson would have already been on his feet. But now, he stayed seated, his handsome face clouded with worry.
“Nancy, are you sure it’s a good idea to go home right now…”
Nancy paused, sensing what Judson was hinting at. She quickly added, “Are you worried that Cyrus will be waiting at the door?”
“That shameless guy would totally do that, and by now, he must know you’ve left the studio,” Judson said, growing more agitated. “Nancy, it’s not that I’m scared of Cyrus. I just can’t stand him harassing you. I might end up punching him!”
Nancy chuckled, both amused and exasperated. “That’s why I didn’t say we were going home.”
Judson’s eyes lit up. “You mean?”
“A hotel for a while,” Nancy replied swiftly. “We’ll get a suite. I’ll take the master bedroom, and you can have the guest room.”
Judson looked at Nancy, admiration in his eyes. “Nancy, that’s brilliant! There’s no way Cyrus can track us there.”
As for which bedroom they would choose, that remained to be decided.
Nancy, unfazed by the compliment, simply said, “Ready to go now?”
Judson leaped up from his chair. “Let’s hit the road. Hotel, here we come.”
Outside, the moon hung low, casting a dense glow.
Over at Pinecrest Estates, Cyrus paced impatiently by the gate. Nancy and Judson hadn’t returned yet.
Damn it. Where could those two have gone?
The more Cyrus thought about it, the angrier he became. He knew Judson had a thing for Nancy….
With this thought gnawing at him, Cyrus turned sharply to Caleb. “Find out where Nancy and Judson went!”
Caleb, feeling the tension, nodded hastily. “Yes, sir.”
Damn it.
Cyrus stared at the darkened villa across the street, fists clenched tight, sensing something slipping beyond his control.
He stood there from dusk till dawn, but Nancy and Judson were nowhere to be seen.
Caleb finally had some information after a night of searching. He approached with a tablet, ready to report, but paused, seeing Cyrus‘ haunted, red–rimmed eyes.
Cyrus‘ face was devoid of warmth, twisted in rage, his presence radiating a dangerous aura, the ground littered

Caleb trembled, barely managing to speak. “Mr. Gordon, are you alright?”
Cyrus said nothing, but abruptly looked up at Caleb.
“Where did Nancy and Judson go?”
Caleb, intimidated by Cyrus‘ murderous glare, instinctively handed over the tablet. “Mr. Gordon, maybe you should take a look yourself”
Cyrus grabbed the tablet and quickly scanned the screen. Almost immediately, his expression turned to one of dark fury.
Nancy’s location was at the Amber Arch Hotel.
Cyrus‘ mind exploded with rage at the thought that Nancy and Judson were spending the night at a hotel.
In a fit of anger, he smashed the tablet to the ground.
“Damn it!”
Caleb shrank back, not daring to utter a word.
Cyrus, like a beast driven mad, couldn’t calm down. Without hesitation, he headed straight for his car.
He was going to catch them in the act!
He was going to kill Judson!!!
Nancy belonged to him.
Seeing Cyrus in such a state, Caleb hurried to catch up.
“Mr. Gordon, please calm down. She’s probably just overwhelmed by your pursuit. Even if she’s with Judson at the hotel, nothing might have happened.”
Caleb’s words brought a hint of reason back to Cyrus‘ mind.
He suddenly recalled Baldrick’s mocking words: “Cyrus, do you really know Nancy?”
