Chapter 157 

Nancy and Judson looked up, their conversation interrupted by the approaching figure of Cyrus. Trailing behind him was Sarah, who, with her delicate features, seemed almost plain compared to Nancy’s vibrant beauty. 

Without a word, Judson stepped protectively in front of Nancy, his handsome face darkening with displeasure. 

Sarah seemed bewildered by Cyrus‘ words, her gaze flitting between Nancy and Judson. 

“Cyrus, are you saying your wife Nancy is Lena?” she asked incredulously. 

Lena was currently one of the most sought–after jewelry designers in the industry. 

Sarah’s expression changed, signaling a realization that rippled through the crowd, sparking murmurs of conversation among the attendees. 

“Lena got married?” 

“Then why’s Lena here with some other guy at the auction?” 

Nancy’s expression darkened, her fists clenching tightly under the weight of the surrounding stares and whispers. 

Cyrus‘ irritation intensified, particularly as he watched Judson standing so close to Nancy. 

“Nancy, you know I’m your-” he began, but was cut off. 

“Stop spouting nonsense. Lena isn’t Nancy. She’s my wife!” Judson interrupted coldly, a menacing aura radiating from him. “Continue disrespecting my wife, and you’ll regret it.” 

Cyrus‘ fingers twitched, anger flaring in his eyes as he faced off with Judson. 

“Who do you think you are?” 

The tension was palpable, like the air was charged with electricity. 

“Enough!” Nancy’s voice sliced through the charged atmosphere. 

Both men turned their attention to her. 

Nancy looped her arm through Cyrus‘, her expression devoid of warmth. “Cyrus, get help if you need it. If you’re missing your wife, go back home. She’s waiting for you in the hospital with your kids. We have no ties.” 

Her eyes were icy. “Harass me again, and I’ll have to call the cops.” 

Cyrus‘ expression faltered at her words. Wife and kids in the hospital? Did Nancy know about Hayley? 

Before Cyrus could process, Nancy was already pulling Judson away, leaving no room for hesitation. He was just about to follow when a voice rang out. 

“Seriously? Causing trouble on my turf?” The voice carried a hint of amusement as Cyrus turned to see a striking man flanked by bodyguards walk in, a look of open disdain on his face. The air crackled with. animosity. 

Cyrus frowned. He had never met this man before. 

Sarah couldn’t hold back. “Mr. Ferguson, no one’s causing trouble. This is Cyrus, CEO of Sunhaven’s The Gordon Group, and Lena is supposedly his wife.” 

“So, you know Cyrus is married, yet you’re here with him at the auction, eager to broadcast your entanglement?” Michael feigned surprise. 

Sarah’s face flushed with embarrassment. 

Nancy paused, her hand in Judson’s, her eyes drawn to Michael’s face. He met her gaze, winking playfully. 

Nancy hesitated for a moment.

Judson immediately stepped in front of Nancy, casting a warning glance at Michael. 

Michael just chuckled, turning his attention back to Cyrus and Sarah. 

Cyrus was seething. “Mr. Ferguson, Sarah and I have nothing to hide. How dare you accuse us!” 

“And how dare you accuse Lena? Nancy is not Lena,” Michael smirked. “We all know Lena and Judson are a couple.” 

“But they’re the same person, just different names in different places,” Cyrus insisted. 

“Do you have any proof? Miss Lena has already denied it,” Michael challenged, raising an eyebrow. “Tell you what, if you can produce Miss Nancy’s ID, we’ll believe you.” 

As if. Nancy had erased her past.
