Listening to Andrew, Sarah felt the warmth drain from her face, completely forgetting about the grip around her
neck.
“Evergreen Global has blacklisted the Hernandez family? Dad, you must be joking.”
“Joking?” Andrew sneered, pushing her away roughly.
Sarah stumbled backward, tripping over the carpet and landing with a thud on the floor before she could even collect herself.
Andrew’s face twisted with frustration. “I wish I were joking, but it’s true! The Hernandez family is blacklisted by Evergreen Global, and all my business deals with other companies are on hold.”
Sarah’s heart sank. “Why? Does Evergreen Global really value Lena that much? The Hernandez family has worked with Evergreen for years, and now they’re turning on us for her?”
“That just shows how much more Evergreen values Lena than us.”
Andrew clenched his fists as if making a tough decision. “Lena’s their golden girl now. You need to apologize to her and get her to forgive us, for the sake of the Hernandez family.”
“Apologize to Lena? Dad, have you lost your mind?”
Sarah’s voice rose sharply. “Don’t you remember how Lena ruined Lucy’s life? The entire Allen family fell apart, and you were so keen on seeing my brother and Lucy together.”
The Allen family’s downfall meant losing a powerful ally. Sarah had targeted Nancy at the auction not just because of Cyrus, but also out of loyalty to Lucy.
“And how can you be so sure it was only Baldrick who targeted the Allen family? Maybe Evergreen Global had a hand in it too!” Andrew’s voice grew louder.
“Even so, I won’t apologize. Not a chance!” Sarah’s eyes were fiery as she turned on her heels and stormed offe
Andrew watched her walk away, a surge of frustration boiling inside him, leaving him feeling completely helpless. Just then, another woman descended the stairs, her features strikingly similar to Sarah’s.
Unlike the defeated Andrew, her demeanor was calm and collected. “Don’t panic. There are other ways to survive without relying on Evergreen Global. We have someone else to collaborate with.”
“Who?” Andrew asked instinctively.
The woman smirked, a name rolling off her tongue slowly: “Cyrus.”
“Should we move to bankrupt the Hernandez family in three days?” Michael’s smooth voice came through the
phone.
Judson stood by the floor–to–ceiling window, surveying the city below, his lips barely moving. “Not yet. Let’s wait and see what else surfaces.”
Michael seemed to sense something, chuckling. “Judson, you’re so wicked.”
Judson frowned slightly, irritated. “I’m hanging up.”
“Wait, wait, there’s more.”
Michael’s tone shifted to seriousness. “Cyrus has started digging into Hayley and your wife’s past. Want us to intervene and let him find out the truth?”
“No need.” Judson’s eyes turned cold. He wanted nothing more than to deal with Cyrus and Hayley. But if Cyrus discovered that Nancy left him because of Hayley, his obsession with Nancy would only worsen.

The next moment, Judson turned his attention to Nancy, who was curled up asleep on the bed. He slipped in beside her.
He had deliberately set the room temperature a bit lower, and sure enough, as he lay down, Nancy instinctively snuggled closer, her head nestling into his embrace.
Judson quickly wrapped his arms around her slender waist, taking control of the situation.
Not stopping there, he rolled over, pinning Nancy beneath him. Her scent filled his senses, making his heart race uncontrollably.
His gaze fixed on Nancy, tracing from her lovely eyes to her flushed lips. The thought of Cyrus kissing Nancy earlier ignited a possessive urge in him.
Suddenly, he dipped his head and captured her lips with his, eager to steal every ounce of sweetness from her. Nancy stirred slightly, a soft whimper escaping her as Judson’s kiss deepened.
