Chapter 189
As Sarah rambled on, Nancy’s expression remained cold. “Did I tell Cyrus to go up there and play?”
Sarah hesitated, “Well…”
“If you’re so worried about Cyrus, why don’t you go up there and join him?” Judson’s voice was sharp and cutting.
wah glanced away, avoiding Judson’s gaze. “I–I couldn’t make it in time.”
“He could make it, but you couldn’t? Don’t make excuses if you can’t handle it,” Judson retorted, his tone dripping with disdain.
Sarah’s face fell, and she looked to Cyrus with a hint of pleading in her voice. “Cyrus…”
Cyrus, his face like stone, turned to Judson. “Who do you think you are to talk to Sarah like that? Judson, do you even know your place?”
Judson knew full well. He and Nancy were the real deal, the couple in the picture.
Remembering the roller coaster climbing to its peak, the memory of Judson nestling into Nancy’s side flashed before him. Not even at their most affectionate had Nancy allowed such closeness.
“Oh, I know exactly who I am. I’m Lena’s husband.”
Judson glanced down at Cyrus, whose face had turned pale. “I thought you were tougher than this. Scared of a little height? You need to toughen up, buddy.”
“You!” Cyrus seethed, struggling to keep his anger in check as he turned to Nancy.
Before he could say anything, Nancy grabbed Judson’s hand and said, almost casually, “Let’s go have some fun. No need to let someone spoil our mood.”
“Nancy’s right. Let’s hit the haunted house!” Judson exclaimed, excitement lighting up his face as he dragged Nancy along.
Cyrus stood up instinctively as he watched Nancy and Judson leave. “You can’t just…”
Before he could finish, a wave of dizziness washed over him.
Sarah was quick to support him, her eyes filled with concern as she looked at his pale face. “Cyrus, are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Cyrus forced himself to remain calm, watching the retreating figures without hesitation, setting off after them.
Sarah, unable to hold back any longer, called after him, “Cyrus, Nancy doesn’t care about you. She’s just off having fun with another guy. Is she really worth all this?”
Cyrus paused, turning back to face Sarah, his expression intensely serious. “She’s worth it.”
Because Nancy was the one he loved most, and he would never give up on her.
Sarah stood there, stunned, as Cyrus walked away, her heart filled with frustration and bitterness.
Why? Why did Nancy get to have all of Cyrus‘ heart? It would be better if Nancy just disappeared from this world…
Judson noticed Cyrus trailing behind them and shoved his phone into his pocket, his face turning into a scowl. “Little shadow.”
Even Nancy’s good mood was starting to fade. If it weren’t for the fact that the amusement park was the next venue for NY’s show and she needed to familiarize herself with the place, she would have left with Judson

“Nancy, do you want to shake him off?” Judson asked with a mischievous wink.
Nancy nodded slightly, “Of course.”
Before she even finished speaking, Judson grabbed her hand and they took off running. Cyrus saw them sprint away and immediately tried to follow.
barely a few steps in, a group of men in black blocked his path, their presence imposing.
Ove! Cyrus demanded, his face dark and stormy.
The leader of the group offered an apologetic smile. “Sorry, sir. We didn’t mean to block you. We’re just trying to get in line for the haunted house.”
Cyrus‘ eyes blazed with anger. He was about to speak when he realized Judson and Nancy had vanished from sight, and the men in black dispersed as quickly as they had appeared.
“Damn it,” Cyrus muttered, clenching his fists. Judson must have set this up.
Did Judson really think he could keep him away from Nancy like this? Dream on.
Cyrus searched the park for Nancy and Judson, but at every ride, he kept running into the same group of men in black, blocking his way.
From morning till sunset, Cyrus never managed to join Nancy on a single ride.
Up on the Ferris wheel, Judson gazed down at a frustrated Cyrus, a smug smile playing on his lips.
“Serves him right.”
Nancy gave Judson a thoughtful look. “How did you convince Lenard to send his bodyguards over?”
“Convince him? There was no need,” Judson replied earnestly. “Nancy, you have no idea how much Cyrus annoys people. If I hadn’t stopped him, Lenard would’ve come over to give him a piece of his mind.”
Though in her thoughts, Nancy mused that Lenard probably couldn’t take Cyrus in a fight.
She silently took out her phone to snap pictures of the view.
“Nancy, let me take a picture with you too!” Judson said eagerly, moving to sit beside her.
But the next second, Nancy shot him a look that could cut glass. “Sit still and don’t interrupt my work.”
