“Funny, I’m right there with you!”
Lenard sneered, “We’ve worked so hard, pouring our hearts into sketches and designs, watching our concepts go from initial samples to the final runway show. All that effort just to be trampled on like this.”
“Maybe Nora has some powerful backer, but I’m not backing down either,” Potter said, his face dark with resolve.
His words echoed with conviction, shaking the room.
Judson’s eyes were smoldering with an intensity that was hard to hide.
If Nora was strutting down the runway so brazenly, it had to be because Mr. Grey was backing her.
If they thought they could humiliate Nancy like this, he’d see Mr. Grey pay dearly.
Just then, Michael stood up and walked to the stage, every eye in the room fixed on him.
Michael held the microphone, his smile more sinister than sincere. “I sponsored The Little Golden Awards. I provided the outfits for Potter, and Lena and Lenard are the designers I believe in the most. Penny is the star of my company.”
“Recently, The Sandro Group’s seasonal runway was a smash hit. I thought this time we could have a memorable ‘understated‘ event, but it seems someone doesn’t want me to play it cool.”
“Whoever is behind this mess better own up quickly. If I find out who you are, you’ll be having a chat with the Almighty!”
Michael’s icy words sent a shiver through the silent crowd. Even the reporters held back, wary of setting off Michael’s anger.
Cyrus, clutching a bouquet, stood up abruptly. “Lena’s creativity is beyond reproach. The truth will prevail, and The Gordon Group won’t let the culprits get away!”
The Gordon Group, led by Cyrus, was the richest in Sunhaven.
Nearly every gaze was now fixed on Cyrus. Even Nancy was momentarily taken aback, her eyes meeting Cyrus‘, who looked back with nothing but seriousness.
He was determined to clear Nancy’s name.
Someone capable of designing such exquisite jewelry couldn’t possibly be a plagiarist.

Nancy had just stepped backstage and was catching her breath when someone rushed over and hugged her tightly. “Nancy, if you need to cry, just let it out on my shoulder. I know you’ve been through a lot.”
