Chapter 221 

“Mr. Gordon, are you really going to help Sarah delete the video?” Caleb asked, his brow furrowed in cleat disapproval. 

Cyrus gave a slight nod, his expression devoid of any hint of humor. 

Caleb hesitated, glancing at Cyrus, “But-” 

“But what? Spit it out,” Cyrus warned, his voice low and firm. 

Caleb let out a resigned sigh and finally said, “Mrs. Gonzalez is a designer. If we keep blocking this, everyone will label her a plagiarist. Once the truth emerges, changing public opinion will be difficult.* 

It’s easy to reverse a situation, but much harder to change people’s minds. 

Cyrus understood this well. The internet was flooded with insults aimed at Nancy Gonzalez. Yet, he seemed resolved, clenching his fists. “If we don’t do this now, do you think Nancy will ever back down?” 

Caleb fell silent, knowing the answer all too well. 

“Whether I help or not, Nancy won’t back down.” 

Cyrus understood one thing clearly: “But with The Little Golden Awards taking a hit and The Ferguson Group getting dragged into it, Nancy will come to me for help.” 

He would help turn things around then. But Nancy knew the price–that she’d return to Sunhaven with him. 

He wanted to rekindle their past and start anew. 

With that thought, Cyrus pulled out his phone and dialed a number. “Mr. Grey, this is Cyrus. How about we discuss a deal?” 

Meanwhile, in a sleek, speeding car, Mr. Grey listened to Cyrus with a smirk. “Cyrus, are you telling me that if I give you all the dirt on The Sandro Group, you’ll help me take on Evergreen Global?” 

Across from Mr. Grey, Lucy’s face paled as she glanced up at him, her eyes meeting his cold, calculating gaze. 

Her heart pounded as she thought about handing over the dirt on Baldrick Robertson… 

Cyrus‘ deep voice continued through the phone, “Exactly. I know you dislike Mr. Green. I can lend a hand. My base might not be in Ardenweald, but I have connections that can help.” 

“Why?” Mr. Grey sounded puzzled. “The Sandro Group is from the same place as you, and aren’t you friends?” 

“I’m not looking to steal my wife’s friends. Nancy, or Lena, is my wife!” 

A flicker of surprise crossed Mr. Grey’s eyes. “You’re saying Lena is your wife?” 

That was unexpected. 

Even Lucy and Nora, seated next to her, looked up, their eyes fixed on Mr. Grey. 

“That’s right.” Cyrus‘ tone was anything but pleasant. “So, Mr. Grey, do you agree to this partnership?” 

Mr. Grey chuckled, “I don’t see a reason to refuse, but I’ll give you the documents in person tomorrow. How about at the Whistle Stop Café?” 

“Sure,” Cyrus agreed without hesitation. “See you tomorrow, Mr. Grey.” 

Mr. Grey lazily acknowledged before hanging up. 

Nora, barely able to contain her excitement, leaned closer to Mr. Grey and asked, “Mr. Grey, is it true that Cyrus and Lena are married? I thought Lena had a boyfriend.” 

And a particularly handsome one at that.

“Enough, darling. How many men Lena has doesn’t concern me. The fact that Cyrus is willing to help is all that matters.” 

With that, Mr. Grey’s sharp gaze landed on Lucy, “Isn’t that right, Miss Lucy?” 

Lucy turned pale again, her voice trembling, “Mr. Grey, I…” 

“Cut the crap. Hand over The Sandro Group’s dirt, or you’ll end up like your brother,” Mr. Grey mocked. 

The chilling threat was unmistakable, and Lucy couldn’t help but shiver, 

Nora laughed, “Lucy, why are you still hesitating? Have you forgotten who made the Allen family suffer? You want to save Baldrick, but Baldrick would rather see you gone for Lena.” 

Nora’s words struck Lucy like a curse, hitting her most vulnerable spot. 

Images of her family’s downfall flashed in her mind, and she clenched her fists tightly. “Fine, I’ll give you what you want! But it might not be enough to bring Baldrick down completely.”
