As Baldrick thought it over, his face turned cold as he hung up the call. Then, he called one of his guys. 

“Check around, see which young gun’s gone missing, and comb through the dark web. Detailed search.” 

Judson might have amnesia, but his family didn’t. Sooner or later, he could take Judson back to his folks. 

In the villa’s living room, looking lost and a bit out of his depth, Judson fidgeted as he faced Nancy, who sat on the couch silently. “Babe, are you mad at me?” 

Nancy glanced at him, and Judson immediately squatted before her. 

“Nancy, are you… are you thinking of ditching me?” 

The more Judson spoke, the sadder he got, and his eyes reddened. “I heard him confessing to you. And, given my current state, injured and with no memory of our past, it makes sense if you see me as a burden.” 

Nancy couldn’t help but laugh with exasperation. “So, you think you’re a burden?” 

Judson shook his head. “I’m not. So, you’ll still keep me around, right?” 

“Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere until you get your memory back,” Nancy replied softly. 

Judson was relieved but noticed Nancy’s complex expression. “Nancy, you’re upset because of that guy earlier, right?” 

“Kind of,” Nancy admitted. Running into Baldrick again was a pleasant surprise, a case of finding a familiar face in a foreign land. 

But after Baldrick opened up and had that run–in with Judson, it was clear he had feelings for her, which really annoyed Nancy. Still, she couldn’t shake the reminder of what she’d lost with Cyrus–something she knew she needed to get back. 

Partnering with giants like Evergreen Global and the Sandro Group was undeniably the right move. 

Judson’s gaze hardened, his tone probing, “Nancy, what about him?” 

“What about him?” Nancy scoffed, “If I was into him, would I be sitting here talking to you about this?” 

With that, Nancy shook her head and stood up. “Judson, I’m tired. I’m going to take a shower and head to bed. 

Judson wanted to say more but could only watch Nancy walk away, a hint of obscurity in his eyes. 

He got up and walked toward the kitchen, the shower running in the background, as he picked up his phone. 

In a speeding car, “Mr. Robertson, we’ve found nothing on the dark web about Judson. Moreover, all videos 

related to Judson have been blocked.” 

So, tracing how Nancy and Judson met was a dead end. 

Of course, Judson was no ordinary person. A thrill of victory flashed in Baldrick’s eyes as he knew how to separate Nancy from Judson. Nancy was extremely cautious, not the type to keep trouble around. 

Baldrick was about to hang up and call Nancy with his phone still in hand. 

The driver’s panicked voice sounded, “Mr. Robertson, are we being followed?” 

Baldrick’s fingers paused, and he quickly looked into the rearview mirror, spotting a beat–up black car tailing them. 

Sensing trouble, Baldrick ordered, “Turn right!” 

With his mind blank, the driver obeyed Baldrick’s command instinctively and turned right. 

But it was too late. The beat–up car accelerated fiercely, ramming hard into the back of Baldrick’s car.

Bang! Baldrick’s body jerked, his hand clutching the seatbelt and the handle to avoid getting thrown out. 

Before he could stabilize himself, the driver’s panicked voice rang out again, “The brakes are out, Mr. Robertson. We’re in danger!” 

Just in time, Baldrick’s eyes widened as he saw a car slam into the wall at the corner. Boom! 

“Judson, I told you that I’ve got your back. I guarantee to teach Baldrick a lesson and let him know what happens when he tries to mess with your people. Feeling better now?” A guy called Judson and said.
