Nancy felt a sudden warmth in her heart. She raised her hand and placed it gently on Judson’s back. “How about I take you to the celebration party tonight? That way, everyone will stop shipping me with Baldrick.”
If she had to be linked with someone, she’d rather it be Judson than Baldrick.
At least with Judson, there was a chance he’d regain his memory. But Baldrick? That was a whole different
story…
Judson’s eyes sparkled with joy. He quickly planted a kiss on Nancy’s cheek, his eyes still glistening with tears. “Nancy, you’re the best! I love you the most!”
Standing nearby, Lenard was dumbfounded by the scene. He couldn’t help but quip, “Judson, I finally understand how you managed to win over Nancy. Your persistence is something to admire.”
Apparently, it wasn’t just the charm; shamelessness was key.
Judson felt a bit embarrassed.
Nancy chuckled, both amused and exasperated, casting a warning glance at Lenard. “Don’t start spreading
rumors.”
Judson, after all, hadn’t really won her over.
The rumor mill was churning, and the Nancy and Baldrick ship was gaining momentum.
In just a few short hours, it had gone viral worldwide.
Back home, it was already late at night. Cyrus was burning the midnight oil, tirelessly working through documents. He finally stood up, weary, and wandered over to the floor–to–ceiling window, gazing down at the empty street below.
He was hit by an intense wave of loneliness. He knew he should go home and get some rest, but the thought of facing that empty house without Nancy really hurt.
Nancy, where have you gone?
Cyrus sighed softly, just about to grab his car keys and leave when his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and answered, his tone cool and detached. “Yes?”
“Mr. Gordon, we’ve located the design sketches by Lena. I’ve sent them to your email.”
Cyrus squinted thoughtfully, opening his email without hesitation. He was curious to see what could have made Baldrick willing to go against the Allen family for her. This Lena was also a permanent jewelry designer for Evergreen Global–what made her so special?
But as soon as Cyrus laid eyes on the jewelry designs Caleb had sent over, the color drained from his face. His eyes widened in shock as he recognized the designs on the model.
He’d seen these before, back when Nancy was dabbling in design as a homemaker…
Before he could gather his thoughts, Caleb’s admiring voice came through the phone once more. “Mr. Gordon, you might have missed Mr. Robertson’s live stream today. All of these were designed by Lena.”
“The show was a massive success, stocks have skyrocketed, and they’ve made billions! Lena truly is a genius jewelry designer,”
Cyrus remained silent, his mind a blank slate, his eyes glued to the screen displaying the model wearing the jewelry
Cyrus suddenly snapped back to reality and shouted into the phone, nearly hysterical. “Send me the recording, of that livestream right now!”

Caleb was taken aback by the outburst but quickly responded, “Yes, I’ll send it to you immediately.”
Ten minutes later, Cyrus received Caleb’s link and opened it in haste.
From the moment the models appeared, right to the dramatic opening of the door at the end, a familiar emerged on the screen.
Cyrus stopped breathing, his heart pounding wildly.
