Cyrus‘ eyes were blazing with fury, and he had no time to respond to Caleb’s inquiries.
“Book me a flight to Ardenweald right now. I need to bring Nancy back!”
He should have known that Nancy’s sudden departure had Baldrick’s fingerprints all over it.
No wonder Baldrick had fallen out with the entire Allen family over a jewelry designer. It was likely his doing that Lena was collaborating with Evergreen Global as well.
This was war.
The betrayal of losing his wife to another man was unbearable.
That snake Baldrick must have brainwashed Nancy while he was away, convincing her to leave.
He would waste no time in bringing Nancy back home.
An hour later…
“Ms. Grant, Mr. Gordon has gone to Ardenweald. He said you can contact me if you need anything.”
Listening to the voice on the phone, Hayley nodded weakly before hanging up.
But the moment she put down the phone, she suddenly hurled it to the ground, her face contorted with rage.
“What’s Cyrus doing in Ardenweald at a time like this? Is he deliberately avoiding me?”

As the door swung open, Ophelia walked in just in time to see Hayley in her hysterics. “Mr. Gordon might not be avoiding you on purpose.”

“Baldrick? And who’s that woman with the mask… Nancy?”
No, it couldn’t be!
Hayley stared at Nancy, her face turning ghostly pale, her heart racing uncontrollably.
Ophelia’s eyes twinkled with a hint of mischief. That woman over there is Lena, currently one of Ardenweald’s top designers. Baldrick actually cut off his ties with the Allen family to be with her. Hayley swallowed hard, disbelief evident in her voice. “So, she’s not Nancy, right? There’s no way Nancy could work with Evergreen Global. They’re leagues ahead of The Gordon Group.”
There had to be some mistake.
Ophelia pursed her lips slightly. “If she’s not Nancy, then why is Mr. Gordon going to Ardenweald?”
