On the other side of the door, as they gripped my face, they mockingly said, “Didn’t you claim to be William’s woman? Go ahead, call out! With all this blood you’ve spilled, sullying the wedding of Young Master William’s true love do you think he’ll come save you or kill you?”
Tears spilled from my eyes as I called out shakily, “Will… William–mph!”
A large hand covered my mouth, completely muffling my voice.
“You wretch, you really dared to call out. I’ll finish you off.”
Cutside, William seemed to sense something. He glanced at the changing room and angrily rebuked Edward, “It’s my wedding day, and you’re
ving such outrageous behavior in front of everyone! Edward, are we still having this wedding or not?!”
The wedding with Emily was something Edward had begged William for an entire year to approve.
He truly feared that if William became displeased, he would immediately order him to take Emily and leave.
Emily, terrified of losing her chance to marry into wealth, nervously approached William like she was presenting a treasure, “Uncle, you don’t know. That Caroline stole the wedding dress you personally designed, and had someone make a fake copy of our family’s ancestral necklace to deceive everyone, just so she could marry Ed and become a wealthy lady. Ed and I were just avenging you.”
Surprised by these words from the usually graceful and proper Emily, Edward’s eyes suddenly flashed with reproach and resentment, as if scolding her for speaking out of turn.
Emily quickly retreated to the side and fell silent, but the next moment her neck was locked in a tight grip, her entire body lifted off the ground.
William increased his grip, asking with trembling voice, “Who did you say is behind that door?”

g seen William so angry before, Edward instinctively broke into a cold sweat, yet dared not pry William’s hands away.
He could only quickly run to the changing room and turn the handle, letting William confront the situation himself, “Uncle, please don’t be angry. I’ve already had them deal with Caroline properly.”
Edward thought William was angry about the stolen wedding dress and ancestral necklace.
He was calculating how this great service today would convince William to approve his foreign trade project.
Then he would be able to hold his head high in the family, make William see him in a new light, and perhaps even inherit the family business one day.
But just as a smile began to form on his lips, someone kicked him hard, sending him rolling three times across the floor before he finally stopped, a large bump instantly forming on his forehead.
“Fool!”
William shouted, then rushed toward me like an arrow, kicking away the men around me one by one. He caught me and draped his suit jacket over

He looked helplessly at the injuries on my face, wanting to reach out but afraid of hurting me. Finally, he could only say chokingly, “Carol, Carol, are you alright?”
I grabbed William’s wrist, my cold gaze sweeping across everyone present, and said firmly, “Kill them, Will. I want them all dead!”
William gently brushed aside the hair on my face, his fingertips trembling when he saw the bloody gash at the corner of my mouth.
His eyes filled with hatred as he said through gritted teeth, “Who did this?!”
Such a strong man, yet now tears fell from his eyes.
Everyone present dared not make a sound. Edward looked at me with shock, while Emily repeatedly wiped cold sweat from her forehead in fear.
The makeup artist in the corner quickly brought a first aid kit to treat my wounds, saying with reddened eyes, “Mr. William, Miss Caroline made it clear from the start that she would be marrying you today. But none of them believed her.
