Chapter 105
Jacob extended his tongue to lick his lips and smirked wickedly. “The same way you got in, that’s how I got in.”
He brought the hand that had just touched Emma’s skin to his nose and took a deep breath. It was a scent that felt oddly familiar.
Just like him.
Cunning. Deceptive.
“I don’t care how you got in. Now get out!” Emma hissed, wrapping the blanket tightly around her body.
Jacob sneered dismissively. “I’ve already seen it all. What’s with the act?”
“My brother’s drunk and useless, so here I am, happy to help you out,” he drawled, his voice dripping with insidious amusement.
The thought of sleeping with his brother’s woman thrilled him.
“I don’t need your help. Get out now!” Emma’s voice was firm, though her trembling hands betrayed her unease.
Jacob’s gaze flicked to the phone placed neatly nearby. “You sure about that?”
Emma froze, silent.
After a long pause, Jacob finally climbed off her. Picking up his pants from the carpet, his eyes caught a stain of blood on the bed sheet. His brows lifted in surprise.
“A virgin?”
Emma’s face turned pale. “Jacob! It’s over. Now leave!”
Her carefully laid plans had gone to waste.
Jacob chuckled, pulling on his pants without sparing her another glance. He strolled to the window and sent the video to his own phone.
With a twisted smile, he raised his phone toward her. “Quite the performance. You didn’t seem like a first–timer at all.”
“Get out!” Emma’s fury burned in her eyes as she pointed at the door.
“Until next time.” Jacob hummed a tune as he left, his mood unusually buoyant.
Emma pounded her fists against the bed in frustration. After venting her anger, she composed herself as if nothing had happened and drifted off to sleep in Justin’s arms.
Jacob was about to drive home when Heidi intercepted him near the banquet hall. She looked refreshed, her earlier fainting spell seemingly a distant memory.
“Jacob, have you seen your brother?” Heidi’s voice carried a hint of urgency.
“My brother? He’s probably passed out upstairs,” Jacob replied lazily, his tone unhurried.
“That boy! Always failing at the worst times. The guests are leaving, and he’s nowhere to be found!” Heidi muttered under her breath, clearly annoyed.
Chapter 105
Jacob flashed a charming smile. “Aunt Heidi, if you don’t mind, I can see the guests off for you.”
“Mind? Of course not! Hurry up and do it!” Heidi tugged him along, relief evident in her expression.

The next morning, Justin groggily turned over in bed. In the haze of his half–sleeping state, he thought he had seen Emily before drifting off the previous night.
But it wasn’t the Emily he knew now–the one who met him with sharp,
sharp, cold eyes.
It was the Emily from before, the one who, whenever he got drunk, would gently help him change clothes, clean him up, and then curl up in his arms like a kitten.
Out of habit, Justin tightened his embrace around the warm body next to him, pulling it closer as he turned on his side.
Even in his drowsy state, something seemed off. He wrinkled his nose. Did she change her body wash? The scent was unfamiliar.
He opened his eyes.
The face in front of him wasn’t Emily’s.
It was Emma’s.
Before his brain could catch up, Justin instinctively released his grip and shot upright. His eyes darted downward, and the realization hit him–he was completely naked. So was Emma.
There was no time to piece together what had happened the night before. Emma stirred, her movement breaking his trance. She let out a soft sound, rubbed her eyes, and propped herself up on the bed with one hand.
Her voice was drowsy yet as sweet as ever. “Justin, you’re awake!”
“What are you doing here?” Justin demanded, his face darkening.
Emma pouted, her eyes welling up with tears. She looked pitiful. “Justin, don’t you remember? You were drunk last night. I helped you upstairs and just wanted to make you comfortable, so I took off your jacket.”
