Chapter 106
“Who would’ve thought… you wouldn’t let me leave, and then… then you…” Emma’s voice faltered, and she lowered her head in apparent distress, pulling the blanket up to hide her face.
Justin’s expression darkened as he frowned, struggling to piece together fragments of the previous night. It wasn’t Emily helping him change–it was Emma?
The realization gnawed at him, filling him with inexplicable irritation. Emma’s soft sobs broke the silence, the sound grating on his nerves.
Why did he feel annoyed? This was Emma, the woman who had saved his life, the woman he had always claimed to love. Yet, he couldn’t recall a single moment from last night. His head throbbed, and the remnants of his hangover clouded his mind.
Emma peeked out from beneath the blanket, her fingers pulling it aside just enough to expose the bloodstain on the white sheets.
“Justin, last night… it hurt so much.” Her tearful eyes shimmered, red and swollen. A small patch of the blanket beneath her face was damp with tears.
What had he done last night?
Justin clenched his fists, blaming himself.
“I’m sorry…” The words were on the tip of his tongue, ready to confess that he had mistaken her for Emily and been too rough in the process. But what came out instead was, “I’m sorry. I drank too much last night.”
After a pause, he forced himself to suppress the irritation welling up inside him. He softened his tone. “I lost control for a moment. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
He reached out to gently rub Emma’s head before pulling her into a half embrace. “Don’t cry anymore. It’s my fault. I’ll move up the wedding date.”
Emma’s tears began to subside, her soft sobs turning into occasional sniffles. She nodded slightly, her voice muffled as she replied, “Okay.”
Justin let out a quiet sigh. Hadn’t he always planned to marry Emma?
So what if things happened earlier than expected? Why should it bother him? He wasn’t an inexperienced man
anymore.
Yet, Emily’s face flashed in his mind. If she ever found out about last night with Emma, how would she react?
She might walk away from him again.
The thought was unbearable. He couldn’t handle losing her. Not again.
No matter what, Emily could never know.
Resolving to keep it a secret, Justin coaxed Emma into taking a shower first. As she left for the bathroom, he lit a cigarette, sitting on the edge of the bed and sinking into deep thought.
Moments later, his assistant, Sam, arrived with two sets of clothes. Justin dressed quickly before Emma finished her shower, eager to leave the hotel.
“Justin, I didn’t expect you to know my size,” Emma remarked with a sweet smile as she held the clothes against her body to check the fit.

“It wasn’t hard,” Justin replied flatly.
Emma didn’t notice anything unusual. Blushing, she took the clothes into the bathroom to change. Since she didn’t have makeup on hand, Sam had thoughtfully prepared a mask for her.
Once they were ready, the two took the elevator down to the parking garage and got into the same car. Emma’s prior arrangements ensured that paparazzi discreetly captured the scene.
When they arrived at RC Corporation’s underground parking lot, some employees who were out on business spotted them entering the company together. One excitedly took out their phone to snap a picture and shared the gossip with their colleagues.
Emma walked into the sales department with a spring in her step, feeling smug. Everything had gone even better than she had planned. It seemed her position in Justin’s heart was stronger than she thought.
As soon as she entered, someone greeted her warmly.
“Emma, I heard you went to the banquet with the CEO last night? So, what’s the deal between you Cook, an employee known for her straightforwardness, asked with a teasing grin.
Emma smiled but didn’t answer. Before leaving for her office, she gave a shy nod.

The moment her office door closed, Lila could no longer contain her excitement. Turning to her colleagues, she burst into chatter, igniting a flurry of speculation among the sales department.
