Harry was using a shell company to tap into RC Corporation’s resources and connections to run his own ventures. It seemed he was planning to launch his own international trade company to compete with RC Corporation.
Ten billion dollars? That was a bit on the low side. Harry must have privately invested shares into LS Enterprise. “Deny the loan and return the appraisal report along with the file,” Justin instructed, handing the documents back to Sam. “No need to include the investigation results.
He was still giving his uncle some leeway, choosing not to expose his misdeeds directly.
“Yes, Mr. Yates.
“The urban development project we bid on with the Northport city government has been completed, and the inspection is scheduled for the 21st. You’re invited to attend.
“And there’s a lunch meeting with the CEO of YY Global on the 20th, and the afternoon is open, so we can arrange a private flight to Northport,” Sam continued, glancing at his watch. “In about fifteen minutes, there’s an investment meeting for the electric vehicle project.”
He placed the relevant documents on the desk.
“Got it. You can leave now.”
After Sam exited, Justin flipped through the materials for the electric vehicle project. He had been keeping a close eye on advancements in renewable energy and wanted to review the project’s outline and timeline. The potential for growth and investment was significant.
When the time came, he gathered the files and headed to the conference room.
In the conference room, Justin was the last to arrive. Harry and the other executives were already seated.
“Good morning, Mr. Yates,” they greeted him.
He nodded. “Alright, let’s all take our seats.
“Have you all reviewed the project proposal for the electric vehicle technology development?” His voice was calm yet commanding as he addressed the room.
Sam took notes on the proceedings while the executives glanced over their copies.
“Government support for renewable energy tech is promising. I’m increasing the investment by three percent to ensure adequate funding for this project,” Justin announced. “Mr. Xavier, you’ll lead the project, with support from the technology department.”
But then Harry interrupted. “My dear nephew!”
Justin felt a flash of irritation. While he acknowledged their family ties, this was a professional setting. Harry’s casual tone in the boardroom was out of place. Since his grandfather’s stroke, his uncle had been getting increasingly audacious at the company.
“Zion Xavier is relatively new to his director role. I’m not sure he’s ready to lead such an important project,” Harry remarked, his sharp eyes surveying the room.
He tried to sound helpful as he suggested, “I suggest assigning it to General Manager, Mr. Ziegler. He’s more experienced and has led countless projects successfully.”
But behind Harry’s seemingly considerate suggestion, there was another motive. He had personally backed LS

Enterprise’s loan request, fully expecting the company’s funds to support his project. Instead, he saw more investment being diverted elsewhere.
When the loan denial came through, he had already blown up in his office. Everything had been planned. The operations and the logistics routes were just waiting for the funds to get things moving. Now, he had to figure out how to explain this to his partners, especially after giving them his word.
“The kid’s grown up and found his backbone, and now he’s pushing back against his own uncle,” Harry thought.
When Justin first took over RC Corporation, Harry had been his biggest supporter. But now, as Justin settled into the CEO role, it seemed he was putting up defenses against his own uncle.
“If he’s bold enough to cut off my cash flow, he can’t blame me for taking over his projects,” Harry thought to himself.
