Chapter 49
Justin had already booked Emily’s return flight. Someone would pick her up at the airport, and Villa One was ready for her to move back into.
He sent the message, but after a few moments, it failed to deliver. A small notification popped up: Message not delivered.
Blocked?
Instead of anger, Justin let out a light chuckle. Typical Emily.
Switching tactics, he called her using a work phone number
The phone rang only a few times before Emily answered, her voice polite yet distant. “Hello, who’s this?”
“I’ve booked your flight. Make sure you come back alone. Don’t-” Justin began, his tone as commanding as ever. He was about to add “don’t come back with Sean. I don’t want to see the two of you together,” but a sweet voice interrupted him.
“Justin, dinner’s not ready yet, and I know you didn’t eat on the plane. Here, have some milk. I just warmed it up for you.”
Emma appeared with a mug of milk, offering it to Justin with a soft smile.
Emily had assumed the call was from a courier or delivery service, so she had answered without thinking,
But as soon as Justin spoke, she recognized his voice. It was the same aloof, authoritative tone as always, as if he was issuing royal decrees.
Before she could hang up, Emma’s sweet voice drifted through the receiver, loud and clear.
Emily’s expression darkened, and without hesitation, she ended the call. She immediately blocked the new number too.
She had no interest in figuring out how Justin had managed to get another phone number to call her.
It was effortless for someone like him to find ways to contact her.
But she was done. She didn’t want anything to do with Justin anymore. Whoever he chose to be with was none of her concern.
This time, Emily not only blocked the new number but, to avoid any further harassment, she powered off her phone entirely.
Before doing so, she noticed Justin’s earlier text messages and the one–million–dollar transfer. A cold laugh escaped her lips.
Same old Justin. He was still so arrogant and self–assured!
She deleted the text, returned the money, and switched off her phone.
Justin was having dinner with Emma while still calling her
“What a jerk!” she thought.
Emma, oblivious to the situation, assumed Justin was busy with work and didn’t catch the conversation.

Chapter 49
Cheerfully, she returned to the kitchen to prepare dinner under the housekeeper’s guidance, determined to make at least one dish herself.
Justin sipped the milk Emma had handed him. Realizing the call had been disconnected, his eyes darkened. He said nothing but immediately called Sam.
“Get me the number for the hotel,” Justin ordered.
Once he had the hotel manager on the line, Justin instructed, “Keep a close eye on Room 1608. Report any activity immediately.”
Room 1608 was Emily’s room at the WX Hotel.

Dinner was ready.
Emma proudly carried the dishes to the table herself, radiating warmth and charm as she played the role of the perfect wife.
“Justin, stop working and come eat,” Emma said sweetly.
“Alright, I’m coming,” Justin replied, setting his phone down and heading to the table.
After washing his hands, he sat down.
“Justin, I made these two dishes myself. Try them and tell me what you think!” Emma said, placing food onto his plate with an eager smile.
