Emma glanced at Sean with mock annoyance, pretending to be upset. “Are you teasing me again?” 1
“Alright, no more jokes,” Sean said, dialing William’s number. “Bring a change of clothes to Regal Estates.”
“Don’t forget to apply the burn cream,” Emma reminded him kindly, her tone full of care.
Not long after, William arrived with the clothes. Justin changed into his tailored suit and left Emma’s house.
Once inside the car, William asked from the driver’s seat, his face impassive, “Where to, Mr. Yates?”
“Back to Villa One,” Justin replied curtly.
The car started moving. Justin pulled out his phone and noticed a bank transfer had been rejected. His eyes darkened as he stared at the screen.
He immediately called the WX Hotel’s general manager.
“Mr. Yates, Miss Yates checked out of Room 1608 at 4 PM today,” the manager reported nervously.
“Was she alone?” Justin’s voice turned cold.
The manager hesitated for a moment, uncertain whether he should answer.
“What’s wrong? Cat got your tongue?”
“She checked out with Mr. Smith, who was staying in Room 1609,” the manager finally admitted, bracing himself.
“Mr. Yates’s woman wouldn’t really cheat on him, would she?” he thought.

After leaving the hotel, Emily and Sean headed straight to buy a new phone and set up a fresh number before grabbing dinner.
Both of them had been starving all day. Feeling guilty for dragging Sean around, Emily decided she owed him a proper meal.
“First, let’s stop by the bank to update your new phone number on your card. Then we can eat,” Sean suggested.
“You’ve already gone the whole day without eating because of me. I feel bad. Let’s eat first. My treat,” Emily said.
“Emily, you must be so hungry you’re not thinking straight. If you don’t update your phone number, how are you going to link your card to the new phone? How will you even pay for dinner?” Sean teased, pulling her toward the
bank outside the mall.
“If we wait any longer, the bank’s going to close,” he added
“I can just swipe my card! Maybe you’re the one not thinking straight,” Emily retorted, grumbling.
It didn’t take long to update her card, and soon they were at dinner, eating their fill. Emily, in particular, ate a surprising amount. Whether it was from skipping meals all day or her pregnancy; she couldn’t tell.
After dinner, Sean insisted on taking Emily to the grocery store in the mall’s basement to stock up on snacks, milk, water, and drinks. “You’re pregnant,” he declared. “We’re driving late into the night, and I don’t want your babies going hungry.”
Pressed for time, they stuck to nearby stores for the phone, the bank, and dinner. Sean filled the cart with snacks like chips, yogurt, candy, chocolate, and even spicy jerky, one of Emily’s favorites.

“These aren’t exactly filling. Why not grab some bread or something?” Emily asked, puzzled.
“What if you get bored during the drive and want snacks?” Sean replied, tilting his head playfully with a teasing smile.
“I’m not a kid. Why would I need snacks?” Emily said, her tone dropping slightly.
“To me, you’ll always be the little girl I want to look after, Sean said warmly, casting her a tender glance when she wasn’t looking. He tossed a few more items into the cart.
Emily trailed behind him, head down, feeling a pang of sadness.
In her three years with Justin, they had never gone grocery shopping together, nor had he ever bought her snacks. He had always said they were unhealthy.
