Chapter 68
After arriving at the hotel in Jacksonburg City, Emily suddenly felt hungry again.
“Justin, are you hungry? How about ordering some takeout?” Emily flopped onto the sofa and started browsing takeout options on her phone.
Justin set his briefcase down, his tie already off from the plane ride, and he began taking off his suit jacket.
“Are you a pig?” he asked, clearly skeptical.
With that, he headed to the bathroom to take a shower.
Emily rolled her eyes at him as he walked away.
When Justin climbed into bed, ready to sleep, Emily opened the takeout and started eating at the dining table.
After finishing, she took a shower and came out to find Justin already fast asleep in bed.
She walked over, grabbed the blanket, and tried to pull it off him, but it wouldn’t budge. Annoyed, she kicked him.
It took a while, but she finally managed to yank the blanket over to her side.
Justin lay on the bed, bare–chested.
“Freeze to death,” Emily muttered under her breath.
She grabbed the blanket and moved to the sofa, picking up an extra pillow. Her sleepwear was still in her luggage at the guesthouse, and she didn’t want to wear the hotel’s bathrobe in case she exposed herself accidentally. So after her shower, she had no choice but to put her worn clothes back on.
After a long day of traveling, her clothes were sweaty and dirty, and she didn’t feel great about it, but she didn’t have another option. There was no way she was wearing Justin’s clothes. The thought alone made her feel sick.
Justin must have been tired too, as he didn’t bother her and just went straight to sleep.
The next day, Justin woke up first, as usual, his body clock always on point. When he saw that Emily wasn’t in bed but was instead sleeping on the sofa, his expression darkened.
He also saw that the takeout bag was still on the dining table and hadn’t been thrown away.
He kicked Emily to wake her up, his voice full of disgust. “Get up! You really just know how to eat and sleep, don’t you? Still lying around now like a pig!”
“Ah!”
Emily was still half–asleep when she was suddenly kicked awake. Her voice was soft and groggy, making Justin’s body tense up.
He was already full of energy in the morning, but hearing her voice made him even more stirred. Frowning, he stormed into the bathroom to take a cold shower.
Emily had no idea about his inner turmoil or physical reaction.
She rubbed her eyes and sat on the sofa, waiting for herself to wake up fully.
Justin was in the bathroom. Luckily, the hotel’s bathroom had a dry and wet separation, with the sink and toilet outside the main shower area.
As Emily finished washing her face at the sink, Justin walked out of the bathroom completely naked, water still

dripping off him.
She caught a glimpse of him in the mirror and quickly shut her eyes,
She scolded him, “Justin, are you crazy? Why are you walking around naked after a shower?”
Justin had just cooled off his heated body with cold water. Seeing Emily standing at the sink in a dress sparked inappropriate thoughts, but he had other things to do, so he forced himself to push them aside.
He frowned and coldly replied, “It’s not like you haven’t seen it before. Why are you making such a big deal out of it?”
“I really don’t want to see it!” Emily said, clearly disgusted
Justin didn’t respond. He grabbed a towel and started drying off, getting ready to put on his suit.
As he reached the door, he turned back. “Hurry up. I need to dry my hair soon.”
Emily was about to lose her patience with him. When would this ever end?
Once she finished getting ready, she noticed a new dress and a set of makeup on the coffee table. It was obvious that Sam had prepared them.
After changing into the dress and finishing her makeup, Emily found that Justin was already dressed and waiting
for her.
He wore a deep blue suit with a matching tie, his hair perfectly styled, and his wristwatch and cufflinks carefully chosen to complement the look.
