Chapter 70
“Who took your photo? Don’t think that just because you’re close to the CEO, you can make baseless accusations without any evidence!” the male colleague snapped, refusing to admit it.
“I–I…” Female Colleague B, stammered nervously, unable to come up with an excuse.
Emily raised her phone confidently. “I overheard your entire conversation just now and recorded it. Taking photos of others without their permission and without a legitimate reason constitutes harassment. It’s a violation of privacy and could be considered a criminal act.”
She pointed her phone at them. “If you don’t delete the photos, I can call the police and let them handle it.”
Emily hadn’t actually recorded anything. She was just bluffing. But in public places, maliciously photographing others without consent or proper justification was indeed an invasion of privacy.
Terrified, Female Colleague B trembled as she said in a shaky voice, “I’ll delete it! I’ll delete it right now!”
She raised her phone, deleted the photo of Emily’s face in front of her, and even cleared the deleted files to ensure they couldn’t be recovered.
Emily then shifted her gaze to the male colleague.
He still looked defiant, though his confidence was starting to waver. He grumbled, “What photos? I didn’t take any. Stop trying to scare people with the police! And secretly recording us is illegal too!”
He didn’t take Emily’s words seriously, thinking she was just a woman, a plaything for a rich man.
“What’s wrong with taking a couple of photos?” he thought. “She’s probably done more shameless things with Justin anyway! Women like her would do anything for money.”
Meanwhile, Justin, the branch manager, and a group of department heads were walking past the pantry on their way to a meeting. They heard the commotion inside.
Justin stopped, recognizing Emily’s voice. “What’s going on here?”
He stepped into the pantry, his presence silencing the room immediately.
The male colleague turned pale with fear, while Female Colleague B stood off to the side, sniffling and too scared to speak. Female Colleague A quickly summarized what had happened, making sure to clarify she wasn’t involved.
After hearing the full story, Justin’s expression darkened. He extended his hand toward the male colleague and said coldly, “Hand over your phone.”
The male colleague’s defiance crumbled. Trembling, he said, “Mr. Yates, this… this is all just a misunderstanding. I can explain.” He glanced pleadingly at the branch manager, silently begging for help.
The male colleague was the branch manager’s younger brother–in–law and had often used that connection to bully others in the company. His bad behavior had gone unchecked for years, but this time, he had crossed the line.
The branch manager glared at him in frustration and hesitated before trying to speak up. “Mr. Yates, maybe we should hear him out. It might just be a misunderstanding. Let’s not-”
Justin cut him off sharply. “Sam!”
Sam stepped forward, quickly searching the male colleague and retrieving his phone. After unlocking it, he handed it to Justin.
Justin scrolled through the photos and found not only close ups of Emily’s body but also inappropriate photos of

other female colleagues.
His face turned grim.
The atmosphere in the tea room grew heavy with tension.
“This is your so–called misunderstanding?” Justin asked coldly, glaring at the branch manager, who broke out in a cold sweat and shot a furious look at his brother–in–law.
Justin didn’t hesitate. He deleted all the photos and cleared the phone’s storage to ensure they couldn’t be recovered.
