Chapter 74
The pent–up frustration Justin had been carrying dissipated in an instant.
Emily, caught off guard and momentarily stunned, couldn’t react in time, allowing him to have his way. When her legs finally steadied and her mind cleared, she pushed herself upright and struggled to break free from his embrace.
She thought Justin must be insane.
They weren’t lovers anymore. There was no emotional connection to justify such a kiss. Their relationship was one that couldn’t see the light of day. It was a secret affair. She was nothing more than a mistress, and a forced one at that.
The thought of him kissing Emma the same way, and then slipping his tongue into her mouth, made a wave of nausea wash over her.
Overcome with disgust, she rushed to the bathroom and dry heaved over the sink.
Seeing her reaction to his kiss, as though it disgusted her to the point of throwing up, Justin’s expression darkened immediately.
He followed her into the bathroom.
“Emily,” he said coldly, “we’ve already kissed, and you’ve already tasted my saliva. What are you throwing up for?”
“I…” Emily tried to come up with an excuse, but when she turned to glance at him, the nausea hit her again.
“Ugh…”
Justin, though annoyed at her disgust, couldn’t ignore how uncomfortable she looked. He stepped forward, gently rubbing her back before handing her a glass of water.
When the nausea subsided, Emily rinsed her mouth and brushed her teeth again, finally feeling better.
“Maybe it’s because I skipped breakfast. My stomach feels a little off,” she explained weakly, trying to make an
excuse.
“I don’t think it’s because you skipped breakfast. It’s because you’ve been eating too much lately!” Justin retorted, his words sharp.
Still, despite his harsh tone, he prepared a hearty breakfast for her.
Emily ate more than usual once again. Lately, her appetite Had been strange.
She didn’t throw up often, just once or twice occasionally. However, her hunger had noticeably increased. She was eating much more than before and felt hungry more frequently.
Justin, noticing how much she ate, warned her, “Eat less. If you get fat, you’ll just start starving yourself again to lose weight. With your overeating and dieting, no wonder your stomach feels off.”
Emily ignored him. Whether she gained weight or not had nothing to do with him.
At 5’7” with a naturally good figure, her heaviest weight had only been 130 pounds. She was currently 120, perfectly healthy.
After finishing breakfast, Emily thought yesterday’s incident would spare her from accompanying Justin today. But, to her disappointment, he still brought her along to the office.

Chapter 74
She deliberately dragged her feet while getting ready, taking her time to put on makeup.
Justin glanced at his watch. It was already 8:30. The meeting had been postponed from the previous day, and he couldn’t delay it any longer.
“Emily,” he said sharply, “if you keep stalling, I won’t hesitate to throw you on the bed and go another round.”
His threat was enough to make her visibly speed up.
When they arrived at the office, Justin, still wary after yesterday’s incident, took Emily straight to the meeting room with him.
Not wanting her to cause a distraction from hunger or boredom, he handed her some cakes he had prepared in advance.
Emily was surprised but accepted them.
“Don’t make any strange noises and disrupt the meeting,” Justin whispered.
Emily nodded, uncharacteristically obedient, as she took a bite of the cake.
In the meeting room, Emily sat quietly in a corner. When the executives entered and saw her there, they showed brief expressions of surprise but quickly averted their gazes. Considering her connection to Justin, they weren’t entirely shocked.
“It seems that this woman holds a significant place in the CEO’s life,” they thought.
Everyone was already aware of what had happened yesterday and the male colleague involved had been fired.
Justin sat at the head of the table as the meeting began.
The branch manager began reporting project progress.
“The loan recovery rate for small and medium–sized enterprises in Jacksonburg City remains stable, with early repayment rates increasing by 38% compared to the previous quarter.
“Skyline Tech Corporation’s technical support has provided strong assistance for the project’s implementation and the growth of these enterprises. The projected revenue from this initiative is expected to be realized within two years.”
