“The tourism development project in collaboration with Jacksonburg City’s government is underway, focusing on establishing a five–star scenic area. Additionally, equity financing with major tourism enterprises from both the city and the province is in progress,” the branch manager concluded.
“Small- and medium–sized enterprise loans may be an established project, but evaluations and lending processes must continue to be handled with precision,” Justin said, his tone sharp and authoritative as he issued clear instructions.
“Who’s managing Skyline Tech Corporation?” he asked.
“That would be me, Mr. Yates,” one of the senior executives replied.
“Make Skyline Tech Corporation a priority. The future of the tech market is massive. If necessary, increase investments through equity acquisitions. If direct purchases aren’t feasible, don’t force it, but ensure we control at least 50% of the equity,” Justin said, his voice cool and commanding.
The senior executive quickly took notes.
“Domestic tourism is thriving. Take advantage of the opportunity. I want to see quick returns,” Justin said to the branch manager, who nodded in acknowledgment.
Sam distributed a new set of documents, which the executives began flipping through.
“The land in the Westside District is slated for residential development, and the government will issue a public bidding notice in a few days. Here’s the information. I expect a winning bid and a solid project plan,” Justin said sharply.
The branch manager had also heard rumors about the Westside District project.
Justin focused intently on the meeting, exuding an almost radiant authority that left Emily, sitting quietly in the corner, astonished.
She was so captivated that she forgot to eat her cakes.
This was the first time Emily had ever seen Justin in a formal meeting. He had always kept her away from his work, whether he was in his study or handling business.
She had to admit that Justin was incredibly competent when it came to work and making money. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to run such a massive enterprise like RC Corporation.
Unfortunately, when it came to relationships, he was an absolute jerk.
When the meeting ended, Justin strode out first, the others following closely behind. Emily gathered her belongings and trailed behind the group.
At the doorway, she saw Justin standing alone, seemingly waiting for her.
Emily walked up to him.
“I have another short meeting to attend. It shouldn’t take long,” Justin said, glancing at the uneaten cakes in her hand with a hint of curiosity. “If you’re hungry, just eat. No one will say anything.‘
Emily looked down at the bag. Did he really think she didn‘ eat because she was scared of being judged in the meeting room?
In truth, she had been so curious about witnessing a corporate meeting for the first time that she simply hadn’t gotten around to eating. It was far more efficient and to–the–point than anything she had seen in TV dramas.

“Got it, go handle your business,” Emily said, urging him to leave.
Justin stared at her for a moment, his voice dropping into a low, unexpectedly gentle tone. “Okay. Wait for me in the branch manager’s office. I’ll come find you when I’m done.”
Before leaving, he noticed her soft, slightly messy hair and her obedient demeanor. Unable to resist, he reached out and tousled her hair.
Emily quickly dodged.
What was he doing?
Justin pulled his hand back, cleared his throat, and said, “I be off now.”
Emily shot him an incredulous look as he walked away, then adjusted her hair and headed to the branch manager’s office.
Justin said he wouldn’t take long, but by noon, he still hadn’t returned.
Emily glanced at the time.
The cakes were decent but not enough to count as lunch.
She decided to head to the branch’s cafeteria on her own for a proper meal.
That afternoon, Justin was busy inspecting the company and hadn’t come back. Instead, he sent Emily a message.
It was only when she saw the message that she realized Justin had added his contact back to her phone and even pinned their chat to the top.
