Chapter 80
“I have another work–related drinks engagement later. I’ll drop you off at home first.”
“This late? You still have to go to a drinks engagement? Let me come with you,” Emma suggested.
“It’s just a group of guys. There’s no reason for you to be there. Be good and go home to take your medicine.”
“Oh…” Emma pouted, clearly unhappy, but she kept chatting non–stop about everything that had happened at work over the past few days.
As soon as Emily got in the car, she turned off airplane mode on her phone and enabled mobile data. Her phone buzzed non–stop with notifications.
Opening the messages, she saw that apart from a few subscription updates, most were from Helen. However, Sean hadn’t sent her a single message.
“Could he really have been grounded by his family?” Emily wondered. She had heard about the strained relationships within his family and how they were fighting over the company. Sean was the youngest of many siblings, and his father, now in his seventies, had him late in life.
But there wasn’t much Emily could do to help.
After thinking for a moment, she opened her chat with Helen and replied to a few messages.
Helen quickly responded, “You’re back? Have you landed? Need me to pick you up?”
Emily replied, “Just landed. No need to pick me up. I’m not staying at your place tonight.”
Helen fired back, “Not staying with me? Are you moving in with Sean? Girl, you’re moving faster than I expected!”
“What are you talking about?” Emily was about to respond when Helen sent another quick message.
“I don’t care who you’re staying with. Right now, get to the address I sent you. My friend’s bar is having its grand opening, and I need you here to show support. Remember, come alone! Don’t bring Sean. I’ve got a surprise for you.”
The message was followed by a smiling emoji and a pinned location.
Emily sighed and replied, “There’s nothing going on between me and Sean.”
Then she tapped on the pinned location.
“William, take me to Majestic Bar,” Emily said, setting her GPS to voice navigation mode.
“Miss Yates, Mr. Yates instructed me to take you back to Villa One.”
“Justin only told you to make sure I stayed there, not to restrict my freedom. Take me to the bar first, and then I’ll head back to the villa..
“If you insist on taking me to the villa first, I’ll just drive myself to the bar afterward. That works too.”
William stayed silent for a moment before turning the car around and following the GPS directions to Majestic Bar.
After getting out of the car, William immediately called Justin, but there was no answer. Left with no choice, he

followed Emily into the bar.
Emily called Helen, and the phone barely rang before Helen picked up and came out to meet her.
“Babe! I’ve missed you so much!” Helen exclaimed dramatically, running up to hug Emily tightly.
Noticing William standing in a black suit behind Emily, she asked in surprise, “Who’s this big, cool–looking guy?”
Emily pried Helen off her. “He’s Justin’s bodyguard.”
“Whose bodyguard?” Helen asked, shocked.
“I’ll explain later.”
“Alright, fine.”
On the second floor, Helen pushed open the door to a private room, and Emily froze in shock, her mouth hanging
open.
A line of young men, each with their own distinct style, stood neatly in a row facing the door.
In unison, they greeted, “Good evening, Miss Helen! Good evening, Miss Emily!”
William, standing behind them, took in the scene with a calm but watchful gaze.
Realizing that Justin’s bodyguard had witnessed the spectacle, Helen quickly shoved Emily into the room, shut the door, and blocked William out.
William’s expression flickered slightly as he dialed Justin again. There was still no answer. Resigned, he stood quietly outside the door, waiting.
Inside the room, Emily was still stunned. “What… is this?” she asked, completely bewildered.
