Everyone in the private room turned to look at Aaron, including Alex.
Aaron took off his jacket and placed it on the coffee table in from of Alex. He unfastened the cufflinks of his white shirt and then made eye contact with Alex.
Layton, seeing that Aaron meant trouble, quickly got up to stop him. “Mr. Thompson, let’s talk this out. There are a lot of people here.”
Before Layton finished speaking, Aaron kicked a small leather stool by his foot towards Alex. A young man beside Alex reacted swiftly, kicking the stool away before it could hurt anyone.
No one in this private room drinking with Alex was an ordinary person. Seeing Aaron’s obvious hostility towards Alex, everyone in the room stood up at once.
Alex, narrowing his eyes, slowly got up, gave Aaron a contemptuous look, and then took off his jacket, throwing it away.
Layton, sensing trouble, quickly stepped in between them. “We’re all friends; let’s talk things out.”
“Who the hell said I’m friends with him?” Alex provocatively walked up to Aaron. “Want to fight? Come on!”
Aaron didn’t say a word and directly made a move. Alex quickly dodged Aaron’s attack and immediately fought back. The room/soon became chaotic.
Alex was always fierce in fights, and Aaron this time left no room for mercy. In just a few minutes, both men had visible injuries on their faces.
“You two, let’s talk this out. Don’t try to kill each other when you just met!” Layton seized the opportunity and stepped in to separate them.
Alex wiped the corner of his mouth forcefully. Looking at the blood on the back of his hand, his gaze became sinister and terrifying. “Aaron, I’ll kill you!”
Aaron pushed away the two people who were holding him back. Now’s your chance. Bring it on!”
Layton had never seen Aaron so out of control. He stopped Aaron. “Aaron, you’re a civil servant, a prosecutor. Why are you getting angry with that jerk Alex? Just talk; do you want to lose your job for hurting him?”
Aaron was livid. “Even so, I can’t let Ellie be bullied for nothing.”
Alex roared, “Aaron, what the hell are you talking about?”
Before Alex finished speaking, Aaron lost control again. He rushed up and landed a heavy punch on Alex.
“Damn it!” Alex was completely enraged by Aaron and swung a chair at Aaron.
“Alex!” Layton caught the chair that Alex swung. “Aaron is Ellie’s brother; there are some things you need to explain to him clearly!”
“What’s there to explain?” Alex irritably pointed at Aaron. “I’m ready for a fight anytime, but don’t use Ellie as an excuse!” Aaron said furiously, “Alex, listen to me. From now on, every time you get close to Ellie, I’ll hit you!”

Alex was infuriated by Aaron. “You have the guts to fight me here why don’t you go see how Ellie has been living abroad?”
Alex forcefully grabbed Aaron’s shirt collar. “You didn’t have the ability to support her, yet selfishly left her with the Thompson family to work like a slave. If I hadn’t gone that day, lie might already be dead.”
Aaron just as forcefully grabbed Alex’s collar, his eyes red–rimmed. “All I know is that if I had arrived one minute later last time, Ellie would have been dead in the street!”
Alex’s eyes widened with tension. “Damn it! Aaron, what do you can?”
Aaron said, “She’s covered in injuries and is still in the hospital. Her entire face is destroyed!”
“Impossible!” Alex uncontrollably pushed Aaron away and growled, “She was fine when I left!”
“You don’t believe me?” Aaron opened the photo album on his phone and then cast it onto the LCD screen in the private
room.
As Aaron played a video, the room fell silent once again. Alex watched as Ellie was beaten by three people, rolling on the ground and crying for help. His pupils contracted rapidly.
“How could this have happened?” Layton snatched Aaron’s phone.

As Layton swiped through the phone screen, the private room’s screen continuously displayed the gruesome scenes of Ellie being abused and beaten.
Alex’s eyes turned scarlet. He rushed to Aaron, not even realizing that his voice was trembling. “Where is she now?”
