In the afternoon, after parting ways with Lacey, Ellie returned to her apartment. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she saw Haley standing at her door.
Haley had changed her clothes and reapplied her makeup meticulously, Standing in front of Ellie in high heels, she exuded confidence. “Ellie, I know you’re short on money. Name your price, and I’ll buy those videos and photos!”
Ellie ignored her and entered her room.

With a loud bang, Ellie’s door shut. Haley had no outlet for her anger.
Standing in front of the mirror in the bathroom, Ellie quietly looked at her reflection.
For half a year, she wore a hat, sunglasses, and a mask every day. She wore them to work, off work, and even during her breaks.
People looked at her strangely, gossiped about her behind her back, tested her, played pranks by hiding her hat, and mischievously removed her mask. She gritted her teeth and endured it all.
Ellie was clearly kind–hearted, always considering others in everything she did. She would rather suffer losses herself than owe anyone, yet the world had never been kind to her.
Only she knew that she had cried herself breathless on countless nights.
A few minutes later, Ellie came out of the bathroom. She rummaged through her wardrobe and pulled out a men’s white

Many years ago, Alex’s parents took her and Alex on a trip together. She got separated from the group because she was playing around and encountered a gang of human traffickers.
In the evening, when Ellie was being transferred by the traffickers, Alex found her. His eyes were red as he called her name and rushed forward to hold her. He didn’t let go even as the traffickers beat him.

Later, she and Alex were rescued. It was only when they were taken to the hospital that Ellie found out Alex had not only broken his right arm but also suffered three deep knife wounds on his back, each cut to the bone.
Even so, he held on to her tightly until the very end.
She was well aware that Alex didn’t love her, but there was indeed a moment when she truly felt his care.
Pulling herself back to reality, Ellie threw the white shirt in her hands into the trash can and tied up the garbage bag.
In the evening, Ellie, wearing a hat and a mask, went out to have dinner with Aaron and took the trash downstairs with her.
“Aaron, wait for me a moment. I’ll just throw out the trash,” she said to Aaron.
Downstairs, as Ellie was about to leave with Aaron after throwing away the trash, they saw Alex’s Rolls–Royce Silver Ghost pull up right in front of them before stopping.
