Chapter 34
Ellie stood there, her eyes wide and tearful, as she watched Alex pin Trevor to the ground and punch him over and over. She was rooted to the spot, shocked.
This was the first time she’d seen Alex so brutal. Compared to the fight with Aaron, this was on a whole different level.
Whimney saw the situation escalating and shouted, “Zack, get over here and break them up!”
A young guy tried to step in, but Alex knocked him back with a punch.
Whimey rubbed her forehead, annoyed. “We need more help in here, she called out.
Two security guards rushed in, joining Zack to try and restrain Alex.
“Damn it,” Alex muttered, turning to fight all three. The dressing room became chaotic, with onlookers crowding the doorway.
Layton watched as Alex, furious and relentless, was about to finish off that clueless guy.” He grabbed Ellie and pushed her into the room. “Ellie, you need to stop him. He’s going to seriously hurt Trevor!”
Ellie looked at Layton, feeling helpless. Layton couldn’t stop Alex, and neither could the security. Her small frame certainly couldn’t. “I can’t stop him,” she said.
Just go Layton pushed her forward before she could react. Ellie was thrust into Alex’s path.
Seeing that Alex wasn’t letting up with the injured Trevor, she mustered her courage and wrapped her arms around his waist. “Alex, please stop.”
Alex looked down at Ellie, who was holding onto him tightly. He was almost exasperated. “You’re such a fool; he was mean to you, and you’re still defending him.”
Ellie pushed against Alex with all her strength. “You’ve already taught him a lesson. If you keep going, it’s going to get really bad”
This was only her second time working part–time, and it had already turned into a mess. So many things were broken, and Trevor was on the floor, clearly hurt
She couldn’t imagine how much she’d have to pay for the damages and medical bills. Thinking about the money, Ellie pushed Alex back even harder.
“Let go, or I’ll hit you too, Alex warned, but he kept stepping back, and his raised fist slowly lowered.
Whitney quickly had Trevor taken out. The onlookers were cleared, leaving only Whitney, Layton, and two bar staff
members.
“Let go.” Alex said to Ellie, his face still tense with anger.
Ellie carefully released him and looked around the dressing room. Besides a few broken items and some blood, only a few people remained.
As soon as Ellie could think straight, she headed straight for Whimney to apologize. I’m so sorry, Whimney. I had no idea things would get this crazy,” she said, her voice shaking.

Whitney smiled reassuringly. “Don’t worry about it. We’ll cover any costs. I’ll make sure you getriple your usual pay for today, just to make up for the stress.”
“She’s out of here, no matter what,” Alex declared, grabbing Ellie’s arm. At the dressing room door, Ellie clung to the doorknob, shooting a desperate look at Whitney.
“Who’s this guy?” Whitney asked, eyeing Alex curiously.
Before Ellie could respond, Alex cut in. “She’s with me, and she’s coming with me.” He pried her hand off the doorknob, lifted her onto his shoulder, and marched away.
