Haley continued, “I overheard your conversation with Ellie earlier; I might be able to help!”
Nancy shot back, “You’re new here and already acting so high–and–mighty!”
Haley shrugged off the remark. “As the saying goes, a tree can’t stand for a hundred years, and a person can’t speak without saying a hundred words. Miss Ellie might not listen to her family, but she just might heed the words of a friend.”
“If you can really help me out, I won’t treat you unfairly,” Haley’s smooth talk stirred something in Nancy. Feeling like she had nothing to lose, she exchanged contact info with her before leaving.
As she watched Nancy walk away, Haley slowly got off her seat and smirked, “That old hag! As long as I’m around, that little brat Ellie will never step foot into the Thompson residence!”
Meanwhile, Ellie was cleaning up in the Thompson residence out in the suburbs when she suddenly sneezed.
Just then, Aaron walked in. He was busy stacking some unnecessary documents into boxes. Ellie set down what she was doing and said, “Bro, I know you and everyone else are worried about me.”
Ellie opened the window, taking in the lush greenery outside. “I’m really fine,” she added.

Aaron looked at his sister, feeling a mix of pain and guilt in his eyes.
They both stared off into the greenery, and he said, “Yaya, the world isn’t simply good or bad, right or wrong; it’s just that everyone tunes into different frequencies. You need to allow yourself to be yourself, and let others be themselves too.”
Aaron continued, “We can’t have everything, nor can we have nothing. Life isn’t as nice as you might hope, but it also won’t be as terrible as you fear. Whatever decision you make, just make sure you can live with yourself. The rest doesn’t matter.”
“Thanks, Bro,” Ellie said, feeling grateful for having the best brother in the world.

On Monday morning, Ellie returned to the hospital for work. Leonard was the first one to come by to see her. When faced with his concern, Ellie offered a few vague reassurances but didn’t say much.

Alex suddenly appeared out of nowhere and took the two bags of documents right out of her hands!
Ellie frowned, about to say something when Alex, clutching the documents, turned and walked away!
From a distance, Alex’s assistant, Barry, saw his boss coming over with the two bags and quickly opened the car door.
Alex, afraid that Ellie might reject him, didn’t realize she hadn’t followed until one leg was already in the car!
In the evening, Ellie returned to her apartment. Thinking about the two bags of books that Alex had snatched away, she couldn’t help but twitch her lips in annoyance.
As she stepped out of the elevator, she was startled to see a man squatting against her door wearing a hooded jacket!
