Looking down, she saw the vase she had just dropped–shattered into pieces!
In the next moment, Ellie slid off the table, scrambling out of the private room as fast as she could.
About ten minutes later, in a VIP room at the Earl Hotel, Alex had hastily bandaged his forehead injury and was still mingling with the guests, the wound left exposed.
Just then, there was a knock at the door. Everyone turned to see three police officers standing there, looking quite bewildered.
One officer said, “We just received a report. A gentleman here is suspected of molestation. Please cooperate with our investigation.”
Barry and Chris exchanged looks with their CEO and quickly caught on. In unison, they exclaimed, “It was me!”

Late that night, after his parents had to bail him out of the police station for the second time, Nancy was sitting on the sidewalk, refusing to move!
Once the glamorous lady of the first–class family, she now sat on the curb, crying uncontrollably, completely losing her composure over her son’s antics.
Alex and his dad, Todd, flanked Nancy, neither daring to say a word.
Nancy pointed at her son, tears streaming down her face as she scolded him, “You said there was already a fake one hiding at home! If you really couldn’t hold it in, why did you have to go poke at a real one?!”
Nancy continued, “Twice in a row, at dead of night, I had to go to the police station to bail you out! Have I lived my life without any sense of dignity?!”
Todd chimed in, “What a disgrace! You can flirt with anyone, but now you’re mute?!”
“What do you want me to say?!” Alex was fuming, ignoring his parents‘ attempts to stop him as he got into his car and drove off by himself!

Meanwhile, at midnight, Ellie was jolted awake by the buzzing of her phone next to her. Seeing Alex’s name on the caller ID, she answered the call.
Before Alex could say a word, Ellie quickly interrupted, “If you call me again, I’ll report you for harassment!”
With that, she hung up, not giving him a chance to respond.
Below her apartment, on a park bench, a man was gazing up at one of the units. His face was pale, and he was breathing heavily, on the verge of losing it!

Ellie was finally at peace after sending Alex to the police station twice. Today was her day off, and she woke up bright and carly.

Thanks to Mark’s introduction, Ellie had successfully become Marvin’s apprentice, learning the art of acupuncture from the aging master.
After a busy morning, she treated Mark to lunch, but she didn’t forget what she had been planning for a while.
At 3 PM, she had arranged to meet up with Diana and Lacey. She specifically asked Diana to bring along Quinlee, and they decided to meet at a dessert shop that Haley used to love the most.
Ellie intentionally ordered Haley’s favorite pastry for Quinlee, but the girl didn’t touch a single bite throughout their meeting. Despite that, Ellie picked up on the subtle details!
After they parted ways, Ellie met up with Diana in private.
“Ellie, don’t scare me! She’s living at our place right now, and my family’s all taken a liking to her!” Diana’s eyes widened in shock as she processed Ellie’s warning.
“I’m a reconstructive surgeon,” Ellie replied calmly. “It’s ridiculously easy to reinvent yourself these days. Every time I see that Miss Quinlee, I can’t help but notice how much she reminds me of Haley!”
Sometimes, intuition could be quite terrifying!
Although Diana could be a bit careless, she was incredibly sharp. “Don’t worry, Ellie. I’ll go back and talk to my brother and sister–in–law right now. I know how to handle it!”
