At the same time, at the Grant Manor, Haley was frantically packing her stuff, getting ready to leave.
Winnie and Patrick had promised Haley they wouldn’t mention the paternity test again, but today Haley followed Winnie and found out she went to the DNA testing center. Haley thought, “That jerk Winnie must have secretly done the test behind my back.
‘Once Winnie comes back with the DNA test results showing I’m not the Janssen family’s second daughter, I won’t be able to leave even if I want to leave!
Haley had just reached the door with her suitcase when she ran into Winnie. “Quinlee, please don’t be like this. It’s my fault, I’m sorry, Winnie said.
Noticing Winnie’s unusual behavior as she snatched the suitcase from Haley’s hands and kept apologizing, Haley couldn’t resist quietly asking, “If none of you trust me, why won’t you let me leave?”
“Quinlee, I didn’t handle this well, but I just wanted to stop the gossip. Trust me, it won’t happen again. You’re my sister, and no one should doubt that. Now, go upstairs and rest. I have some things to take care of,” Winnie said.
Watching as Winnie instructed the servants to take Haley’s luggage upstairs, Haley followed Winnie at a distance to the
manor.
“Winnie, are you sure this is true?” Diana looked at the paternity test results multiple times.
Winnie said, “I made sure to oversee the entire paternity test process so that there were no mistakes. Quinlee has been through so much during her time away. She’s very sensitive.
“Let’s not bring it up again, and Quinlee mustn’t find out that we conducted a paternity test without her knowing”
Hiding by the doorway, Haley clutched her rapidly beating heart. She thought, “They had all secretly done a paternity test on me without me knowing.
“The test results show I’m the second daughter of the Janssen family. What’s going on?‘”
Haley was both excited and nervous. She thought, I need to find a way to do another DNA test to confirm these results.
Ellie got a call from Diana and headed over to the Thompson residence in West Suburb No. 7. Ellie spent some time with her family in the living room while waiting for Diana to arrive,
“Aaron, be honest, is nothing going on between you and Ms. Grant?” Hearing Whitney questioning Aaron about Diana, Ellie couldn’t help but glance at Aaron.
Aaron shook his head decisively. “Whitney, Diana is my teacher’s daughter; I don’t have those affections about her.”
Whitney said, “So what if she’s the teacher’s daughter? Ms. Grant has always been nice to you, and you get along with her. Why not give it a try?”
“Whitney, you’re overthinking!” Aaron shook his head.

Whenever Joanna mentioned Diana, she couldn’t stop praising. “Aaron, your dad and I used to hold you back, but now that your dad is gone and your uncle is back, it’s time to settle down. Are you not interested in Ms. Grant?”
Aaron replied, “Mom, once a teacher, always like a parent. I’m only good to her because she’s my teacher’s daughter.”
Whitney asked again, “Aaron, I think Ms. Grant is a great person. Are you sure you won’t reconsider?”
Aaron insisted. “Whether now or in the future, I won’t consider her. She’s wonderful, but not the right one for me?”
Joanna suggested. “In that case, let Whitney set up a date for you. Maybe you’ll meet someone who’s a good match.”
Aaron hesitated briefly, then nodded. “Alright.”
Outside the door, Diana stood for an unknown amount of time. She squeezed the handle of her handbag so tightly that her knuckles turned pale. After a few deep breaths, she knocked and entered the living room.
