Ellie frowned a little, “How about we invite Lacey and Nalani to join us as well?” Since they had already come, Ellie thought it would be impolite to refuse.
Meanwhile, in the CEO’s office of Warren Group, after answering Ellie’s call, Nalani couldn’t help but grumble, “Why go so far just for a meal?”
“Who is Ellie with now?” Alex, with his keen ears, caught Ellie’s voice and questioned Nalani with a dark expression.

At seven thirty, over 300 thousand feet from the city center, there was a newly opened unique boat restaurant. Each private room was a small boat floating on the lake, exuding a classic charm.
Lacey, who had been complaining the whole way about the long walk, was instantly captivated by the beautiful views, and all her complaints disappeared.
“We want the VIP room in the center of the lake.” Quinlee confidently requested a deluxe private room.
As everyone boarded the small boat to head toward the center of the lake, Ellie stayed on the shore, not moving. She was scared of water. The sparkling lake’s surface caused an irrational fear in her heart.
“It’s okay, Ellie, we’ve got you,” Diana and Lacey came over, each taking one of Ellie’s hands to comfort her.

Since they were already there, Ellie didn’t want to spoil everyone’s mood. She also wanted to try facing her fear, so after a few tries, she finally gathered the courage to get on the small boat.
They reached the larger boat in the center of the lake. Without the rocking of the smaller boat, Ellie’s nervousness slowly eased. As long as she didn’t focus on the water, she felt fine.
Seeing everyone having fun by the edge of the boat, Ellie was the only one sitting quietly at the table. Quinlee quietly approached her. Quinlee said, “Ms. Thompson, I think my zipper is broken. Could you take a look at it for me?”
Ellie glanced at everyone enjoying themselves at the front of the boat and then turned back. Meeting Quinlee’s eyes, she reluctantly stood up.
“It could be seen in the light here, so I’ll turn around,” Quinlee said while walking to the side of the boat, facing the dark lake. Hearing that soft, almost chilling voice, Ellie hesitated, unsure of what to do.
