After Aaron finished his call with Declan, he returned to the ward where Alex was still present. Noticing Diana quietly settled on the companion bed, Aaron draped his jacket over her. “Close your eyes,” he instructed.
Diana obediently closed her eyes. “I’m not leaving until Ellie wakes up!”
When Aaron came to the bedside, Alex spoke up before Aaron could say anything.
Alex was still in his soaking wet clothes, looking rather messy as he sat by the bed. His bloodshot eyes were fixed unblinkingly on Ellie.
“Mr. Warren, maybe you should go clean up first. If Ellie wakes up and sees you like this, she might faint!” Diana whispered before quickly closing her eyes again.
Alex sniffed his clothes and then stood up. As he reached the door, he turned back to Aaron and said, “Aaron, I’ll be back.
soon.”
Hearing Alex call him, Aaron frowned deeply.

Half an hour later, in Carlos’s VIP hospital room, Alex had showered, changed into clean clothes, and was about to leave.
Nancy said, “You stay here. I’ll go check on Ellie.”
Alex quickly stopped his mom and said, “Mom, let me go. I told Aaron I’d be back soon.”
“Aaron?” Nancy widened her eyes, looking at Alex. “Did he let you call him that?”
Alex gave a slight smirk. “I’ll call him what I want. Whether he agrees or not, that’s his problem.”
“You’re so shameless!” Nancy shook her head in disdain and sat back down on the chair.
Early the next morning, Jason and Whitney brought Joanna to the hospital. After learning that Alex had saved Ellie last night, the Thompson family was more relaxed towards Alex. At least they didn’t kick him out of the room.
“The patient is still in a coma. The family should give her a massage from time to time to help with blood circulation,” the
doctor said.
“I’ll do it!” Several voices overlapped in the room before the doctor even finished talking.
Diana and Joanna were on the left side of the bed, while Alex and Aaron were on the right.

“Mr. Warren, it’s not appropriate for you to do this. Let us take care of it instead,” Aaron said, stopping Alex’s hand, which was about to massage Ellie’s arm.
Alex said, “Aaron, I’ve already shared a bed with Ellie. Do you think stopping me now will change anything?” His words immediately altered the expressions on everyone else’s faces in the room.
At the doorway, Nancy was about to knock when she heard Alex’s embarrassing words. Blushing, she awkwardly pulled her hand back.
Aaron let his hand go reluctantly, allowing Alex to massage Ellie’s arm.
“Mrs. Thompson, you rest. I’ve got this,” Alex said, displaying his shamelessness to the maximum. At that moment, the unconscious Ellie slowly began to wake up.
“Ellie, you’re finally awake!” Seeing Ellie open her eyes, Diana jumped up and down with excitement.
Ellie looked around the hospital room, her eyes finally landing on Alex holding her arm tightly.
Their eyes met briefly, and Alex sheepishly let go. “The doctor told me to massage you,” he mumbled.
The others was speechless.
