Chapter 402
“Mr. Warren, don’t be angry. I’ll call the doctor right away.” Evan saw that Alex was about to explode with anger and hurried to call for someone.
In the garden of the Warren family, Aaron called Ellie aside to talk. “Diana has arrived. She’s on the phone in the car and will
be here soon.”
Aaron and Ellie stood by a flower bed, waiting for Diana to come over. Although Ellie was unfamiliar with Diana now, Aaron and Lacey said that Diana was her good friend, so Diana must be.
Since Aaron came in, his eyes were fixed on Ellie’s expression. He asked, “How are you doing here? Is everything okay?”
Ellie answered, “Don’t worry, Everything is fine, but Alex broke his leg.”
“It’s good.” Aaron thought of Alex’s despicable behavior at his home that day and he was furious.
Ellie was waving to Diana in the distance, feeling like she was hallucinating.
She turned to look at Aaron. Aaron corrected himself with a straight face. “I mean. It’s good that nothing happened.”
Ellie breathed a sigh of relief when she heard Aaron’s explanation.
“Ellie, you are finally willing to see me.” Diana came up and hugged Ellie, acting coquettishly.
Ellie told the truth. “Diana, I’m sorry, I really can’t remember, but I recognize you as a good friend.”
The three of them were chatting in the garden, which made Alex upstairs anxious. He limped to the balcony and looked down, but could only see people, not hear the sound.
“Evan, help me down.” Alex hopped on one leg in front of Evan.
Evan waved his hands repeatedly. “Mr. Warren, I can’t do that. Mrs. Warren is waiting downstairs. She just told me to watch over you and not let you go down.”
“That won’t do. Aaron is here. It’s not appropriate for me to hide in my room and not go down,” Alex argued.
“Mr. Warren, you can just take a look from the balcony. Mrs. Warren is afraid that Mr. Thompson will break your other leg. Please don’t worry her.” Evan tugged at Alex, determined not to let him out.
The two were in a stalemate on the balcony until Aaron left the Warren family with Diana. Only then did Alex quiet down.
As the car drove out of the gate of the Warren family, Aaron turned to Diana. “Are you going back to the Grant Manor now or somewhere else?”
Diana tilted her head and asked, “Where are you going?”
“I’ll take you first. I have something to do later,” said Aaron.
“What is it?” asked Diana.
Aaron frowned and said, “Personal business.”

Diana suddenly got angry and said, “Stop the car.”
Aaron stopped the car. Before it had completely stopped, Diana unfastened her seat belt and got out.
“You go ahead with your business. I’ll walk back by myself.” Diana deliberately emphasized the word “walk” and then slammed the car door shut.
Aaron rolled down the window and watched Diana, who was walking briskly on the sidewalk in her high heels. Helpless, he got out of the car.
“Why are you throwing a tantrum again?” Aaron stopped Diana.
Diana crossed her arms over her chest and glared at Aaron with a fierce look. “Who said I was throwing a tantrum? Am I the kind of person who throws tantrums?”
Aaron sighed, “I brought you here. How can I let you walk back?”
Diana stopped and said, “Then tell me what your private matter is, or take me with
you.”
Aaron frowned and said, “Diana, you’re prying into my privacy. You…”
“Me what? Stop nagging me like my dad! Tell me or don’t.” Diana interrupted Aaron sharply and walked ahead angrily.
Aaron followed Diana and said, “I have a blind date. It’s not convenient to take you with me.”
