Chapter 411
Late at night, the entire family gathered around Alex’s hospital bed at Jaslands Hospital, struggling to hold down Alex who was howling.
“I’m so sorry, Mrs. Warren. I didn’t mean to,” Ellie apologized, holding down one of Alex’s arms.
“He brought this on himself. It’s not your fault,” Nancy replied. She couldn’t bear to watch Alex’s contorted face and lifeless body on the bed.
Holding down Alex’s legs, Barry was stunned into silence by Alexs current state.
Evan, unsure where to hold Alex, could only stand by and nag, “Mr. Warren, please calm down. If you keep howling, your leg will never heal.”
After a long exhausting night, Ellie returned to the Warren Manor to take care of Carlos, while Nancy, Evan, and Barry stayed at the hospital to look after Alex.
At noon, Ellie had just woken up from a nap when she heard the familiar howling from downstairs.
At the top of the stairs, Barry was carrying Alex up, and Ellie quickly stepped aside.
Evan said, “Ms. Thompson, please talk some sense into Mr. Warren. He refused to stay in the hospital, howled himself hoarse, and insisted on coming home.”
A few minutes later, in Alex’s bedroom, Ellie stood beside Nancy avoiding Alex’s furious glare.
Nancy said, “Alex, tell me, how can you stop howling?”
Following Alex’s eyesight, Nancy looked at Ellie and sighed deeply several times.
Nancy knew exactly what Alex was thinking.
However, with Ellie’s memory loss and Aaron’s protective attitude, there was no chance for Alex.
Besides, just thinking about that two–meter–deep pit on Rusba Mountain gave Nancy sleepless nights.
“You’re really good for nothing. Can’t you even lie still? It would be better if Mr. Jason Thompson buried you.” Todd stormed out of Alex’s room, too angry to watch any longer.
“You–have–to–be–responsible–for–me.” Alex, lying in bed, managed to croak out through his twisted mouth.
Evan turned to Ellie and said, “Ms. Thompson, Mr. Warren wants you to take care of him. It will be a lot of trouble for you.”
Nancy added, “Ellie, he can’t do much harm in his current state. It’ll be a few days of trouble for you. Otherwise, his constant howling will drive everyone crazy.”
Ellie hesitated but nodded.
She was the one who had accidentally caused his stroke–like symptoms, and the Warren family didn’t blame her. It was only fair that she took care of him.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when Alex finally stopped howling and glaring.
That night, Ellie examined Alex’s wounds and sat on the edge of the bed, feeling worried.
The healing wound had been aggravated by the earlier chaos. Pls his new wounds, Alex was injured more badly.

Our room tonight,” Ellie said, looking down as Alex clutched the corner of her shirt,
Unable to speak, Alex could only whine in discontent.
Ellie gave up and let him hold on.
A few days later, Alex woke up early and didn’t see Ellic. He quickly threw off the covers and hopped out of bed.
“Where is she?” Alex asked Evan as he hopped down the hallway
“Mr. Warren, your face isn’t twisted anymore. That’s great.” Evan was overjoyed to see Alex’s condition improving. “Ms. Thompson was picked up by her brother and said she would be back later.”
Alex’s face darkened as he turned and hopped back to his room.
Thinking about how Ellie always mentioned “Aaron said“, Alex was so annoyed. He said to himself, “Aaron is so good at brainwashing. He should have been an insurance salesman instead of a prosecutor.”
Then, Alex took a nap for a few hours.
“Mr. Warren, Ms. Thompson is back, and Mr. Aaron Thompson is here too,” Evan said.
Upon hearing this, Alex quickly got up from bed. “Aaron is here. Why aren’t you helping me downstairs?”
