She quickly got up, freshened up, and went downstairs. Alex was leaning against the wall in the hallway, waiting for her.

Ellie obediently went over. Ignoring everyone around them, Alex took Ellie’s hand, his intense gaze locked on her expression.
Feeling embarrassed, Ellie tried to pull her hand back, but Alex held it tighter.
“Let’s go see Grandpa,” came Alex’s gentle voice from above. Ellis nodded obediently.
Since she had taken this step and made her decision, she would own it.
Holding hands, they entered Carlos‘ room.
Although Alex hadn’t immediately told everyone about his current relationship with Ellie, his eyes and actions spoke volumes about their closeness.
Alex’s parents, upon seeing this, both changed their expressions.
