“There’s no deal that can’t be made; it’s just a matter of negotiating the right price,” Alex said, spinning his wheelchair around. “Arrange a meeting with Stephen. I’ll talk to him personally.”
Barry informed him, “Mr. Warren, Stephen’s flight is scheduled for eight o’clock tonight, back to Yorksure.”
Alex said, “Prepare for the meeting. I’ll figure out a way to see him.”
As evening approached, Ellie prepared to go out.
Ellie went over to tell Alex she was leaving, but the servant informed her that Alex had gone out.
She took out her phone and saw several messages from Alex sent half an hour ago, saying he was meeting a friend.
Ellie immediately replied to Alex. She liked their current relationship; every action had a response, and everything was accounted for, which made her feel very secure.

Today’s meal is on me, Ellie. I’m the one who should be apologizing. Don’t be polite, Quinlee said, standing up and hånding the menu to Ellie.
Ellie, always easygoing, pushed the menu back to Quinlee. “You order. I’m not picky. I’ll eat anything.”
“Alright, then I’ll just order the set meal,” Quinlee said, glancing subtly at the message from Alex that popped up on Ellie’s phone before turning back to her seat.
Ellie picked up her phone to reply to Alex, and Lacey, who had sharp eyes, noticed the message from Alex.
“Wow! Really?” she said in a hushed voice, unable to contain her excitement. “Ellie, are you really with that bad guy now?”
As soon as Lacey spoke, Quinlee and Diana leaned in immediately.
Ellie’s face turned bright red, and she quickly turned off her phone’s screen.
Ellie looked at Lacey questioningly. “Why did you call him a bad guy?”
Lacey, remembering the deep pit Alex had dug for her, quickly shook her head. “No, I was just joking.”
Diana tugged at Ellie’s skirt and whispered, “Ellie, are you really with that crazy man?”
“Don’t call him that.” Ellie corrected Diana before putting her phone down.
In other people’s eyes, Alex might be crazy, wild, and bad, but she was willing to accept him.
Diana and Lacey exchanged glances and kept silent.

“Ellie, now that you have amnesia, aren’t you afraid that Alex might deceive you?” Lacey asked, lowering her head and leaning in closer to Ellie.
Ellie shook her head firmly. “Alex would never deceive me!”
“What if, hypothetically speaking, he did deceive you?” Diana asked.
“If I found out he lied to me, I would never speak to him again for the rest of my life,” Ellie replied.
“Congratulations, Ellie. The position of Mrs. Warren isn’t for just anyone,” said Diana.
Quinlee saw the three people across from her whispering and leaving her alone, and the expression on her face gradually froze.
She then asked nonchalantly, “Ellie, when did you and Mr. Warren get together? It’s quite sudden.”
`Ellie looked at everyone seriously and said, “Alex and I are together now. It happened after we came back from Harwood.”
‘After Harwood? That would be after Alex saved Ellie, right?‘ Quinlee wondered.
Quinlee’s hand under the table clenched so tightly that her knuckles turned pale.
She had gone through so much trouble to stage that accident, intending to make sure Ellie never came back.
