Hearing Barry say that the plane would land in more than ten minutes, Alex’s nervousness was obvious. He held Ellie’s hand, and his palms were sweating. He said, “Ellie, when you get back to the Thompson residence, remember to answer my calls every day.”
Seeing Ellie nod obediently. Alex said again, “We need to meet. Don’t turn me down. Remember our promise. Grandpa and I are waiting for you at home. Remember to come back.”
