Alex lowered his head and replied firmly with a “humph”

“Okay!” Alex’s eyes became moist, and it took him a long time to speak with difficulty.
“Carlos, is that okay?” Ellie turned to ask Carlos.
Carlos nodded weakly and smiled before closing his eyes.
Watching Carlos’s hand fall naturally, Ellie opened her mouth wide and big tears rolled down. She tugged at Alex’s sleeve
and sobbed. “Carlos!”
Alex’s mournful cries filled the whole garden.
