Chapter 461
In front of Alex, Ellie took off the diamond ring on her left ring finger and threw it at him. The ring hit Alex’s chest and then fell to the ground in the garden, making a faint sound and finally lying quietly in the puddle.
Alex’s red eyes were filled with bloodshot veins. He stared at Ellie in a daze and forgot to react for a moment. Their eyes met, and time seemed to stand still at this moment.
After a long time, Ellie stopped crying. She said, “You asked me to put the wedding ring on your right hand, not because you wanted to see this diamond ring and think of me all the time!”
She continued, “It’s because your left ring finger belongs to Haley. You engraved Haley’s name on your ring finger a long time ago, and there is no place for me there!”
Alex’s chest felt as if it was being tightly squeezed by someone, and it was so painful that he could hardly breathe. “Back then, I didn’t think that much. I just wanted to use some means to take her away from Aaron, regardless of love or not!
“I thought the person who saved me was her, and the person who couldn’t have children because of saving me was her. I made a mistake, Ellie! You are the person I love and the person I want to protect. It’s always been you!”
He numbly lifted his leg and took a step towards Ellie, but she stepped back two steps to avoid him.
She shook her head. “Even though you don’t love me, you can pretend to be so affectionate. Even though the lies are so fake that they can’t be any more fake, you can still say them so sweetly.”
“You really make me sick!” Ellie turned around resolutely and saw Alex’s parents not far away.
Nancy cried, “Ellie, it’s the Warren family that has wronged you!”
Hearing Nancy say “sorry” again and again and seeing Todd’s guilty expression, Ellie burst into tears.
Even when her relationship with Alex was the worst, she never thought of breaking off with the elders of the Warren family. But now, she wanted to break it off completely. Everything related to Alex was completely severed.
“Ellie! Don’t go!” Her wrist was grabbed again, and then he held her tightly in his arms. Ellie didn’t move. She just looked up at Alex’s parents and waited quietly.
“Pull him away!” Todd said with pain, and Nancy turned away, crying.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Warren,” Barry said with determination and stepped forward. He suddenly locked Alex’s arms from behind, and then several bodyguards joined forces to pull Alex away forcibly.
“Ellie, come back! You can’t leave!” In the struggle, Alex fell to one knee.
But his hands were locked behind him by Barry, and his body was held down by several bodyguards and couldn’t break free. He knelt in the heavy rain and called Ellie’s name over and over again. He struggled desperately, like a trapped beast in a
cage,
But Ellie never looked back at him even once. Ellie braved the heavy rain and walked out of the Warren Manor gates. When she saw Aaron standing quietly by the car with an umbrella and waiting for her, Ellie stopped.
“Aaron,” Ellie murmured, “Did you know I would…?”
Aaron stepped forward, holding the umbrella with one hand and pulling Ellie into his arms with the other. He said softly, “I knew that as long as you regained your memory, he wouldn’t be able to keep you.”
“It’s my fault! I didn’t listen to you. I deserve it!” Ellie cried uncontrollably in Aaron’s arms, completely breaking down.

Chapter 461
יד
She said, “I hate him, but I hate myself even more!” This was the first time Ellie used the word “hate” to describe Alex.

Aaron’s voice was calm as he said, “People who love each other can’t bring themselves to hate. People who don’t love each other don’t care if you hate them. Only a stupid girl would torture herself like this. You are so smart. You definitely won’t do
that.”
He continued, “Whether you love or not, you must be graceful. You are a sunflower that grows towards the sun. When there is no sun on a rainy day, you are your own little sun.”
Ellie hid in Aaron’s arms and cried freely. Life had been so difficult for her, but fortunately, she had such a good brother who had been by her side all the time, never leaving her.
Aaron stood quietly, holding an umbrella with one hand and allowing Ellie to lean on him, crying and wetting his shirt.
