Chapter 464
After Ellie regained her memory and returned from the Warren Manor, it rained for one or two days in a row. Her family gave her enough time and space. As long as she stayed in her room alone, no one would come in to disturb her.
Since Ellie came back, Joanna hadn’t actively asked about anything that had happened between Ellie and Alex. Every day, Joanna tried her best to make delicious food for Ellie.
After work, Joanna would come to chat with Ellie for a while, but it was all about happy things that had nothing to do with Ellie’s experiences during this period.
And Jason and Whitney, in addition to giving Ellie comfort, also supported her and never scolded her once. The whole family had given Ellie enough respect and security, allowing her to take a breath and calm down.
In the afternoon, Ellie woke up groggily and found that the weather had cleared up. Seeing the missed calls from Diana and Lacey on her phone, Ellie quickly changed her clothes and freshened up.
Lacey and Diana came into the living room one after the other and greeted Joanna sweetly. They sat down on the sofa and waited for Ellie. Lacey couldn’t help but mutter, “Diana, why did you have to come at this time?”
“Aaron isn’t home from work at this time,” Diana said casually.
Lacey asked, “Why did you wait for Aaron to not be at home to come?”
Diana realized that she had said something she shouldn’t have and smiled awkwardly. When she saw Ellie coming downstairs, she quickly changed the subject. “Ellie, are you feeling better?”
When the three girls got together, there were endless topics to talk about. But Lacey and Diana didn’t dare to mention anything about Alex.
Diana sat cross–legged on the sofa and looked at her watch from time to time.
“Diana, do you have plans tonight? If not, you and Lacey can stay and have dinner with us. My mom is cooking fish for you herself.” Ellie saw Diana looking at her watch repeatedly and couldn’t help but ask her.
Diana shook her head, and then nodded, and finally said perfunctorily, “I have a small matter.”
“No way. I must stay and eat Mrs. Thompson’s homemade fish tonight.” Lacey grabbed Diana’s arm and didn’t let her go. “Aaron should be getting off work soon. Let’s have a drink together.”
Ellie looked at the time and said, “Aaron should be home at this time. Diana, you can leave after dinner.”
When Ellie said that Aaron would be home soon, Diana couldn’t sit still anymore. “Well, I really have something to do. I’ll come another day.” Diana got up, picked up her bag and car keys and left.
At the entrance of the living room, Ellie opened the door, and Aaron just came in. Ellie said, “Aaron, you’re back.”
When she heard Ellie’s words, Diana, who was just bending down to change her shoes, quickly turned around. She unexpectedly met Aaron’s gaze and was so scared that she kicked off the high heel she had just put on one foot and ran
towards the stairs.
“Diana!” Aaron closed the living room door and chased after her.
“Aaron, stop right there! A gentleman uses words, not fists!” Diana darted around the living room like a catfish, trying to avoid Aaron.
Aaron’s face was gloomy as he walked towards Diana and took off his uniform jacket.

Diana was good at martial arts, but if Aaron didn’t let her go, she couldn’t escape at all. She was caught by Aaron’s ankle with one move, and after just a few exchanges, she was locked by Aaron and couldn’t move.
