Ellie was so startled she momentarily forgot to react. She stared wide–eyed at the stranger outside the window. And even when he noticed her staring back, he didn’t run–he just kept his eyes locked on her.
“Ah!” The young nurse behind Ellie let out an involuntary scream of fear. The two nurses, in a panic, knocked over a chair, causing quite a racket.
