Chapter 604
Chapter 604
As soon as Ellie stepped out of the elevator, a girl rushed out from a small door and came running toward her. “Mom!”
Betty’s heartbreaking cry echoed down the hallway.
Betty, with tears streaming down her face, rushed toward Ellie. Her ponytail had become a tangled mess, and behind her, a female teacher in high heels chased after her.
“Betty!” Ellie rushed toward her.
“Mom, they hit Oscar!” Before Ellie could respond, Betty grabbed her hand and dragged her toward the door she had just come out of.
Ellie’s heart skipped a beat. Without a second thought, she rushed into the room where Betty had just appeared. Behind them, the two female teachers exchanged a look, one of them pulling out her phone to make a call.
As Ellic entered, she realized the room was a storage closet, not the office the teachers had mentioned.
“Why are my kids locked in a storage room during class time?” Ellie pushed past the male teacher holding Oscar, pulling both children close and protecting them.
Two female teachers walked in and exchanged glances with the male teacher, Benjamin. The older one quickly explained, “Ms. Thompson, we had no choice. Your kids were being so noisy that they were affecting other students!”
“That’s not an excuse to lock my kids in a dark room and abuse them. What you did is illegal!” Ellie clenched her phone tightly as she saw the teachers admit to locking her children away.
Trying to stay calm, she lowered her phone so the teachers wouldn’t notice she was recording. She carefully shielded her kids and backed them up to the hallway.
The female teacher tried to explain again, “Ms. Thompson, you’re making it sound worse than it is. Betty broke a boy’s nose with a chair and we have sent him to the hospital. When we tried to calm her down, she even hit us.
“We had no other option but to separate your kids.”
“He hit Oscar first. That’s why I fought back!” With Ellie by her side, Betty felt brave enough to speak up. She pointed at the three teachers and cried, “You’re bad people! They hit Oscar and even pulled my hair and twisted my ear!”
Ellie’s heart ached as she listened to Betty’s cries. “Pull up the surveillance footage and show me the evidence. If it’s my kids‘ fault, I’ll take full responsibility as their mother!
“However, you locked my children in a storage room and mistreated them during school hours. You need to give me a proper explanation! My children are traumatized, and I’m taking them home to rest.”
Ellie carefully shielded the kids, retreating toward the elevator as the three teachers followed closely behind.
Benjamin, who had been silent until now, arrogantly spoke up, “The school has surveillance cameras, but not anyone can just pull the footage up whenever they want. Many kids in the classroom saw it, so there’s no need to look at the footage.”
Grace, the young female teacher, added, “Ms. Thompson, if you want your children to continue studying here, please calm down and cooperate with us. We need to handle this matter properly.”
Ellie sneered. “So what you’re saying is, it’s fine for others to pull up the footage, but when I ask for it, it’s not allowed. You expect me to just follow whatever you say, or my kids won’t be allowed to stay here anymore, huh?”
Grace smiled awkwardly at Ellie. “You should know the parents of the kids who get into our school are either rich or powerful. Do you know who the parents of the child your kids hurt are?”

Before Ellie could respond, another teacher jumped in, shifting the focus back. “Even if it’s just kids fighting, they shouldn’t go that far. Betty is so young, yet she went as far as smashing a chair over someone’s head. That’s cruel and violent.” “Exactly, Ms. Thompson. While they’re still young, you need to educate them well. Otherwise, when they get older, they might end up in prison!”
“Ms. Thompson, I know you’re protective of your kids, but you should consider our advice. It would be best if we could make this a small matter and handle it quietly.”
