Ellie said, “Mr. Warren, you insisted on giving me that bracelet. I don’t understand what you were trying to do.”

Alex’s intentions were so obvious that it would be hypocritical of her to pretend not to understand. But she couldn’t just make everything clear.
Alex said, “You know exactly what I want.”
Alex suddenly tightened his grip on Ellie’s arm, pulling her off balance and into his embrace.
The window was open, so Ellie didn’t dare make a sound. She could only struggle in silence.
She said, “No, I don’t know.”
Ellie pressed her hands against Alex’s chest, terrified that her colleagues might pass by and see them in this ambiguous position. She was so angry and flustered that she wanted to bite him.
Before Ellie could finish her words, Alex suddenly kissed her.
His kiss was sudden, domineering, and fierce, as if he wanted to melt her into his body.
Ellie shivered as she felt Alex’s hand move up from her waist.
“Do you get it now?” Alex didn’t go too far and ended the kiss.
His breath was heavy, and his chest was heaving. His eyes turned red because of desire.
He held Ellie’s lower back with one hand and the back of her head with the other, pulling her tightly into his embrace to prevent her from getting up.
His lips pressed against Ellie’s cheek, and his breath was hot and intimate.
He said, “Ellie, I want to be with you. Do you get it now?”
Ellie raised her hand and slapped Alex, shattering the ambiguous atmosphere.
“You pervert!” Ellie hurriedly returned to her seat and fixed her clothes.
Alex covered his cheek and sat up. He stared at Ellie and said, “You didn’t say no. I’ll take that as a yes.”
Ellie said, “Mr. Warren, no one agreed to something with a slap.”
Ellie quickly fixed her appearance. Then she glared at Alex and got out of the car.
Watching Ellie leave without looking back, Alex ignored his cheek that had been slapped, but just gently rubbed the lips that had just kissed Ellie with a smug expression.
“Mr. Warren,” Barry, upon receiving the call from Alex, hurried to the hospital to pick him up.
“Take me somewhere,” Alex said as he got into the car.
Soon, the car stopped in the underground parking lot of a luxury department store downtown.
“Mr. Warren.” Deborah got out of the car, but before she could get into Alex’s car, he got out and stopped her.

Alex grabbed her wrist, and then Deborah looked around anxiously and said, “Mr. Warren, the reporters might see ins. Bers get in the car first.”
Before she finished speaking, Alex removed the bracelet from her wrist.
Deborah smiled awkwardly. “Dr. Thompson said that you asked her to give it to me, so I just wore it directly
Alex said, “She was just talking nonsense.”
Deborah was speechless.
Not far away, Barry looked down and turned around.
Alex said, “Deborah, you are Carl’s friend, so I had that dinner that day. We’re not even friends. Don’t contact me with a different phone number again, or don’t blame me for being rude.”
After that, Alex took out a lighter and burned the braided rope of the bracelet.
“It’s yours now.” Alex took off the olive–shaped diamond, stuffed the bracelet into Barry’s hand, and then got in the car.
Barry looked at the broken red bracelet in his hand, feeling speechless.
“Mr. Warren.” Deborah stood outside the car, feeling unwilling and embarrassed.
The car window slowly rolled down. Deborah was about to step forward, but was stopped by Alex’s oppressive gaze.
Ellie had just come out of Oscar’s ward and was about to go to Mark’s office when a video call from Alex came in.
Ellie answered it and then found that Alex was at a jewelry counter.
“Choose one you like, and I’ll braid it for you myself.” Alex pointed to more than a dozen braided ropes on the counter.
Ellie was busy and didn’t want to waste time, nor did she believe Alex could really make one.
She casually pointed to a black one, which was the most complicated one, and said, “That black one.”
Alex said, “Red is better. It wards off evil.”
Ellie said, “Black is better. It brings wealth.”
