Luna’s Dual Destiny: Claimed by Two Alpha Kings

Chapter 13
Alaric rejected the idea without hesitation. “I won’t bound with anyone but Mina.”
The weight of his words hung in the air, sharp and final. It was an outright humiliation for
Rachel.
His mother’s face darkened in frustration, but before she could lash out, Rachel quickly
came over, cutting her off with a measured tone.
“Auntie, don’t worry.” Her voice was gentle, almost reasonable. “We can decide once Mina wakes up.”
It was the perfect response–calm, understanding, as if she were the one being patient. Yet Alaric didn’t acknowledge her at all.
He simply stared at the ceiling, his golden eyes hollow, filled with an unbearable grief that refused to dissipate.
For the next two days, Alaric barely left the intensive care unit.
Confined to a wheelchair due to his injuries, he spent every waking hour outside Mina’s
room.
And every time he closed his eyes, the same image burned into his mind–The moment She
leapt.
He had called out to her. Begged her to stop. But she hadn’t even turned back to look at him.
Not even for a second.
When had they come to this? When had she stopped believing in him?

Chapter 13
He still remembered the day Mina was brought into Silverclaw.
13
She had been small then, fragile, her presence like a whisper in the wind. She had clung to him–because she had no one else.
And he… had liked it.
น
Mina had always been sensitive, easily startled, and often on the verge of tears. So he made it his mission to make her smile.
He would pull ridiculous faces, even though he wasn’t particularly good at it, just to see her laugh.
And every time she did, it was loud and uninhibited, as if the weight of the world had momentarily lifted.
That night, the Winter Festival bathed the Silverclaw Pack in an ethereal glow.
And yet, for the wolves of Silverclaw, it was also a night of celebration and remembrance–a sacred tradition where the pack gathered beneath the moon, honoring their ancestors and the cycle of life.
Bonfires crackled across the clearing, wolves shifting seamlessly between forms as they howled their tributes to the spirits of the past. Elders recited legends of the first Alphas, while younger wolves playfully chased each other through the snow.
Alaric had planned something special for her.
Away from the noise of the main gathering, he had taken Mina to the ridge above the park’s territory, where the entire forest stretched below them like a vast, untouched wilderness
The moonlight bathed them in silver, reflecting off the frost–covered trees.
Mina hugged her knees to her chest, gazing up at the sky with wide, wondering eyes.
“It’s so bright,” she murmured.
Alaric nodded. “It’s called the Wolf Moon.”

Chapter 13
She turned to look at him, curiosity flickering across her delicate features. “Does that mean our ancestors can see us tonight?”
He didn’t hesitate. “Of course,” he said. “They’re always watching over you.”
Her lips parted slightly, uncertainty flickering in her gaze. “Even my parents?”
“Especially them,” Alaric murmured, his voice steady. “They’ll always be with you. Just like
I will.”
That night, Alaric kissed her for the first time.
He still remembered the day their bonding ceremony was announced.
The way Mina had thrown herself into his arms, her warmth seeping into his skin even through the cold air.
“Are you really going to bound with me?” she had whispered, wide–eyed.
He knew–she hadn’t asked out of excitement, but fear.
She had always struggled with self–worth, especially after losing her family.
She had nothing. No land, no wealth, no bloodline strong enough to make her a valuable
match in the world of Alphas and Luna bonds.
All she had was her love.
B
But in their world, love alone were never enough.
And Alaric had given it without hesitation. He had cupped her face in his hands, wiped
away the tears before they could fall, and whispered-“Of course, only you can be my luna.”
At first, Alaric had loved her possessiveness. The way she would bare her teeth at any
woman who so much as glanced at him.

The way she would cling to him, claiming him as her own. It had been thrilling–to be wanted so fiercely, so desperately.
But over time, he had begun to grow restless. He had wanted more freedom.
Every argument, every misunderstanding–she had always been the one to apologize first.
Always the one to cling to him like a frightened rabbit, her thumb nervously pressing into
her palm–a habit she had since childhood.
“Please don’t be mad,” she would whisper, her voice trembling. “I won’t do it again. I have
nothing but you. Just… don’t push me away.”
And the truth was—she had always been the one who worried, who feared, who begged.
Alaric had only ever received her love. He had never truly learned how to give it back.
Maybe, deep down, he had liked having her under his control.
Maybe he had liked knowing that no matter what he did, she would never leave.
But then Rachel returned. Everything has changed…
