Mona. That was the name she carried now.
But in this life, she had once been a lone wolf taken in by the powerful Blackthorn Pack.
Her parents were dead. She had no family, no allies. When the Blackthorn Pack took her in,

‘At first, she thought it was just an act. That he was indulging her because he pitied her. 13
But as time passed, she began to question herself. Was she really as weak and insignificant as she always believed? Or was it possible that, in Kieran’s eyes, she was someone special?
It was a slow shift.
Without realizing it, she started to respond differently.
“Making roast venison is just as simple as grilling meat. How can you not know that?”
For the first time in her life, she spoke without fear. She teased him, corrected him, challenged him.
And Kieran encouraged it. He never once used his status to silence her. Instead, he pulled

He took her out into the wilds, deep into the vast forests of their territory, where the pack
would gather on full moon nights. And as the sky stretched above them in endless darkness,
he would look at her.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” she had once asked.
Kieran had only smiled, his gaze unwavering.
“Because I realized something,” he had murmured, his voice low, intimate. “You’re even
more beautiful when you lift your head instead of lowering it.”

But Kieran always shielded her,

No one dared to challenge him. Even his parents, who had originally opposed their union,
were forced into silence.
Still, Mona feared. Kieran was the most sought–after Alpha heir. She was just an abandoned girl with nothing to offer.
She wasn’t the strongest, the smartest, or the most beautiful. How could she possibly hold
onto him?
But Kieran–as always–knew her thoughts before she ever voiced them.
So he wrote her a letter every day.
At first, she thought it was a joke. That he was just playing along with a silly romantic
gesture.
She refused to open them, believing the envelopes would be empty, just a tease.
But curiosity won. One day, she opened one.
Then another.
